The Civic will most probably be introduced in Thailand by mid Q1, and shortly for other part of Asia (early Q2). So the first unit shall land on our shore in May / June?

While there are much fanfare about the latest Civc, for it better design and TC engine, but actual built quality and pricing will determine if it can make a sucessful come back in Singapore. Mazda and Toyota have up their games with the "right" pricing and spec for the M3 and Altis in the recent years.

QQ with 1.2T already got people complain underpowered, how can a cibic fly with 1.0T?? dont forget cibic is not for uncle but chiongster (you might not agree but to me, cibic buyers are mostly chiongster, period). if i wanna buy cibic,  will consider a 1.5T but never a 1.0T. [:p]

Have to look at the spec also.  QQ 1.2T, stock is 114hp/165nm, hauling 1.3 tons, turning large diameter 215/60 - 17 inch tyres.
iirc, the tc torque comes in at >2krpm.  0-100, 12.9 sec.

===================

Cibic 1.0T, 127hp/200nm, hauling 1.2 tons, turning at most 215/55-17 inch tyres.  TC torque should come in at or below 2k rpm.  Though I suspect if the 1.0 does come, the torque will be limited to 170nm (due to CVT), this should still make for minimally a sub 11 sec car (0-100), which is a sec ahead of its direct competitors.  TC torque also means that 0-60 should also be more brisk than direct competitors.  Needless to say, will also cost more than direct competitors.

although cibic 1.0T, but 127bhp/200Nm,

however A3 and Jetta both 1.4T but only 120bhp/200Nm, it should be severely underpowered :o

For Civic 1.0T, 127hp/200nm, the owner priority definitely focus on FC.

Don expect to dash 0-100km/hr with others. You'll be disappointed.

I am sure the torque will be flat and your zest will surely die off soonest.

Cannot compare too much. Be realistic on the capability of the car with little engine

anyway, even when not driving fast, hondas are more fun to drive then comparable japanese or korean makes simply (other than mazdas which are fun to drive too) ... cos it's great fun revving the engines!  [;)]

The 10th Gen Civic has voted the best car in Auto Guide in USA.

It has beaten the muscle car Mustang Shelby GT350 and the recent Mazda MX5

Honda is taking the success of Civic to the rest of the world in 2016. The is turning around the best selling car now

Reading in website, Honda will be stopping production of the DOHC 2.4 & V6 engine for USA & Europe in near future.

Even though the NA engine is cheaper to manufacture, Honda will focus on the more expensive turbo engine of 1.0, 1.5 & 2.0L

This is due to the emission criteria set by the automotive industries.

I hope Honda will be still able to manufacture reliable engine even though turbo engine is more to succumb to failure due to temp and bearing issue.
