Latest new on 2016 Civic, it will have manual shift for 1.5T, 174bhp, 220Nm torque

However, this will come in 2017

I believe Honda is listening to customer feedback so to capture the market share. Well done

Malaysia Honda factory in Malacca should assemble Civic to fulfil 100,000 units capacity which commission end of 2014. Likely, Civic will come from Malaysia factory at least for Kah motor.

Else, we should get from Thailand/Indonesia

2017 ... so long ah ... :slow:

Are you sure or not? Even US also don't have 1.5T manual, how can come to Singapore

Dont fret too much,  I bet when this new model comes to Singapore it will be very different on the inside...may not even have turbo...in order to keep it in Cat A.

KM pattern is lowest spec but highest profit! LOL

It can come in the IL3 TC.  127hp/200 (or maybe 170 so that a mid-range CVT can be used) nm.

If comes as IL4, 150ps/200nm, if the trend of A & B continues, it will not matter much.

But KM should not bring in until Accord is adequately updated.

KM has to beg Honda Thai to produce 1.5 NA engine, because they want to fall the car to CATA and control proce within 130k

What beg? In a biz deal, i think its  win win situation for both.

174bhp !! B & b car. cat B leh..

Will be expensive ! Sigh

LAT will revise the classification coe, even if 1.5 NA also easy break 130bhp limit,

cat A will adjust to 180bhp below, so Civic still cat a B&B car :D

Accord is a different kettle of fish altogether la.

Two specs lor. Basic then full spec like the fd 2.0

Hopefully when cibic launch, accord would have minimally have its engine swapped to the same 1 as Ody.

Isnt the ody just the 2.4l. Same engine as the Accord 2.4? Not familiar if they are the same engine.

Yeah wouldn't mind the Base 2.0 to be improved.

But it's a bigger car. So won't really Canabalise from the civic.

I think the trend is towards suvs nowadays so it doesn't matter as much.

The hrv/vezel is selling well in USA. So towards the entire range of cars, more sales are being Canabalised by cuv and suv.

oops, my bad.  The accord & crv using the dohc 2.4 liao.

In this case, give the accord the euro spec 1.5TC at 200hp. [:)]

Unless KM want to market it as small TC for cibic, larger NA for accord.

As today, the 10th Gen Civic has sighted testing on Thailand. This is confirmed Thailand assemble the 10th Civic. Specification detail has not disclosed. likely same as US specification on 2 model - 2.0L NA & 1.5T. I think Torque mag highlighted 3Q in SG very likely.
