This was announced during the recent Tokyo Motor show 2015.

Only 750 Type R for Japan - UK make

Wow... it cost $4.280 million yen in Japan, very expensive

Just a ball park figure, it will cost approximately a Golf R in Singapore

If the regular 1.5L civic can do 0-60 in 7.5s...

I mean u have to be really hardcore to get the type R.

Which btw beat the bmw M3's time around a circuit in UK (video in youtube).

not sure if this has been shared but its out in the Honda Japan website

http://www.honda.co.jp/CIVICTYPE-R/?from=auto-main

Already mentioned before, Japan not bringing nor producing 10th generation honda civic. The above link is the Euro /UK spec Honda Civic Type-R hot hatch which was a featured in the recent Tokyo Motor Show that ended a week ago. Totally no link to the sedan civic as thread title.

CTR buyers are very hc.  The JDM CTR does 0-100 in 6.6 sec.  So for the new CTR with TC....it woud minimally need to be below 6 sec to make a statement, relative to the current.

Sits on 245 (or 235)/35-19 which is also hc.

Read in torque mag that it should come in 2016 Q3.  The civic 1.5 TC.  Will be 30kg lighter than the current FD

actually, if the large PI(s) can bring in those German conti, presumably from their euro counterparts, will it then be possible for these Sg larger PI(s) to establish networks to bring in Euro spec Honda(s) ?

I believe would be U.S. spec, this new tenth gen Civic hasn't officially made a debut in Europe.

Furthermore, European Civics are somewhat different, since they seem to prefer hatches in Europe.

10th Gen Civic designed and built in U.S, only supply U.S domestic and other LHD countries,

so far Honda has found any RHD country willing to built 10th Gen Civic, like Japan or Thailand,

so don't know when Singapore can get RHD 10th Civic [:(]

Saw in stcars,PI Stellar Motors bring in the 2015 CTR 2.0T, selling 200K....

At the Tokyo motor show, the orders were 4,280,000 yen = S$50k. So if PI is selling at S$200k, can buy 4 in Japan liao.

i think if you compare the whole world, sg is one of the most pricey to own a car liao. and not forgetting the limited 10 years, unless extension which is more costly....

in sg car consider a property with limited period, in other countries car only is a tool,

however sg also is tax haven

Latest new on 2016 Civic, it will have manual shift for 1.5T, 174bhp, 220Nm torque

However, this will come in 2017

I believe Honda is listening to customer feedback so to capture the market share. Well done

Malaysia Honda factory in Malacca should assemble Civic to fulfil 100,000 units capacity which commission end of 2014. Likely, Civic will come from Malaysia factory at least for Kah motor.

Else, we should get from Thailand/Indonesia

Where is your source of news Malaysia Honda gonna assemble the new Honda Civic? I know Malaysia have car assembly plants for their domestic market call CKD (complete knocked down) but none are exported out.
