darett 1st Gear April 11, 2017 Share April 11, 2017 Hi Everyone, I have been driving the new 1.4 Tiguan for a month now. I would like to share my feedback for this model for anyone whom is interested. - Spacious interior car as compare to previous model - Boot is between Q3 and Q5 size, need to lower the back seat for golf bag - Kids love the moon roof - Engine pickup is decent for a 1.4T, plenty of torque, going up car park and steep slope no issue with full load - Full consumption not fantastic for 80% city driving (ave 10.6 km/l), Sale person claimed it should be better after run in - There is a S gear which you can change to if you want to drag your gears longer - 6 Speed DGS is a wet clutch system which is better than the previous dry clutch. Hopefully it can last longer - Personally, I like the Dynaudio system, park assist, Active Info Display, Head Up Display, cruise control, LED lights, Maps, Overall, it is a good and comfortable family car. This Highline model comes with lots of extra features which you may not need. I chose this model over the Harrier in the end. With all the additional features, it is still much cheaper than getting a X3 or Q3 if you are not badge conscious. Thxs

I think the Tiguan is bigger and more luxurious than the Q3...hence not same category. Tiguan is very well equipped and IMO should be compared with Q5/X3 range.... ↡ Advertisement
