Blackstarsky 1st Gear July 24, 2017 Share July 24, 2017 I'm also looking at 'S' and EX, in the end went for 'S' as it has 6 airbags and Traction Control for safety. ↡ Advertisement
GravityBlue 4th Gear July 24, 2017 Share July 24, 2017 What were the cost consideration you were factoring between this Very simple , actual price paid is lower , and i get to hv cruise control. As a old man , right leg beri idle , so will make full use of CC. However , if both "S" & "EX" were to sell at same price i will get "S". BTW , what's your OMV ? Mine is close to $15k. Your Elantra registered with LTA already ? Did you pay 2K for the body kit ? Thanks
Vinceng Turbocharged July 25, 2017 Share July 25, 2017 Your car should be elite trim, cause there is nothing to install on this car as everything are installed from factory. Maybe thats why you can collect within the day of registration?! It is industry practise to install after-market accessories BEFORE the car is registered, not AFTER. Ryan_khoo 1st Gear July 25, 2017 Share July 25, 2017 It is industry practise to install after-market accessories BEFORE the car is registered, not AFTER.Hmmm ... but my SE told me that their company policy is that only after the car is registered, will they install all the after market accessories, bodykit ... etc. This is so that in the event for some reason the car cannot be registered and cleared by LTA, then they no need to strip the bodykit and other after market accessories from the car ... That was what the SE said, i am not sure if it's correct ... Cheers
teomingern 6th Gear July 25, 2017 Share July 25, 2017 Quoting the big wiki on the Hyundai Pony (long long ago car): Wiki leh... not so reliable? But it's hilarious if true... Cheers Seems to make sense if it's locally fitted although it will delay delivery time substantially... but Hyundai probably has the installer based in their building just like for the third party head unit you find in the Elantra... I think not all installer located in their building, this explains why the mileage on hyundai cars when collected is high.

Thanks Hi all, For those of you who have just got the Elantra or are getting the Elantra soon, what are we supposed to pump ? 95 or 98 ? Vinceng Turbocharged July 26, 2017 Share July 26, 2017 @Ryan_khoo Min RON for Elantra is 92, so 95 suffices. Unless you have lots of spare cash to burn, then pump 98
13177 Hypersonic July 26, 2017 Share July 26, 2017 Most B&B cars can pump 95 de, no need to pump 98. I remember last time my company MPV even pump 92 and it runs perfectly.

Thanks Hi all, For those of you who have just got the Elantra or are getting the Elantra soon, what are we supposed to pump ? 95 or 98 ? Thanks Pump 95 sufficient le. U can try lo. I tried 3 tanks 98 after run in. Cant feel anything. Mileage also never increase. So sticking back to 95. Maybe when 98 got discount or free gift, i will try again. 98 also clean engine rite? Once a while pump, think ok.

Aspros_helios 1st Gear July 26, 2017 Share July 26, 2017 I thought the designations for the Elantra are: GLS = basic trim S = mid trim Elite = top trim Isn't EX the mid trim for the K3? I thought it's as follows: L/LX = basic trim EX = mid trim SX (SX sports) = to trim I chose the GLS (GLS emblem on the boot) but there is another elantra in the showroom that is more basic than mine. Is mine supposed to be a 'S' then?

Is mine supposed to be a 'S' then? When did you get your car? There was period of time when both the S & GLS trims both had the GLS on the back... that's what I recall some forum folks saying...Black elantra not say very common on the road le. So does that mean that at present, we can differentiate the model by the GLS and S emblem? ↡ Advertisement
