Neutral Newbie

Normal type only difference in features. All engine the same. If u compare toyota, their FC shd be the best. But safety n features wise, Elantra can compare. ð

FC mainly depend on ur driving. If u travel longer distance without stopping, u get nicer FC.

If daily u travel 5km in a slow traffic to work, the FC chui! ð

If u have chance to cruise/no stop drive, try start off ramp rpm to 3k; let gear change up high then travel around 2k-3k rpm. Think tats around 70-90km/hr already ð. Really depend on traffic. If altis, think FC is 15-17km/l type. ð§

What's the general FC for Elantra from your experience? Thanks.

Anyone can share how the new tyres are? Are the tyres slippery during rainy days etc? Anyone knows the trade in value for the stock tyres and which tyres to recommend?

i'm not an aggressive driver.. so far pretty happy with the tyres altho' can't wait to change to quieter ones after it is worn out

If normal road, about 11+-12km/l. If highway, maybe 12-14km/l ba. Think distance also a factor.

Still trying out for short distance groceries shopping type, if ECO mode will help or not? No comments yet. ð

Not really...

You can ask the following:

1) Where did he buy it from? Shop? Online?

2) How much did he pay for it and if it included installation fees?

3) Any modification required to the front panel that came with the car? Any charges for any modification made to the front panel (if necessary)

4) What brand is this head unit? What's the specific model? Where is it manufactured in?

5) What's the user experience like? Especially the touch interface.

6) Any connectivity issues with either Apple Car Play or Android Auto?

7) Any radio reception issues? Hissing or crackling or intermittently dropped radio signals?

8) Any navigation application that comes with the unit? Does the unit carry a GPS onboard? Are maps updates available? How much do the updates cost?

9) Is there full integration between the head unit and the steering wheel controls? This is applicable only to the Elite trim I believe. Any functionality that is missing from the steering wheel controls?

10) Does the user interface lock up when the car is moving? That means the front passenger can't play around with the head unit and its settings?

11) Is the reverse camera integrated with the head unit? Are there reverse guidelines that move with the steering wheel and also reflect your car's position relative to the steering wheel position?

12) Does the unit auto start up when the engine is fired up and does it auto shut down once the engine is cut?

13) Is it possible to enable or customize to have the Hyundai logo splash screen on power up like the unit that comes with the Elite trim?

I think that's all for now... thank you!

Hi, i got hold of the company name. Contact person is Casey.

That friend's feedback , whole family loves eating apple , so cant comment on the andriod auto connection.

His is a 14month old elite , changed to this new radio set 3 months ago.

Thing that annoys him is during start up , everytime hv to press the AGREE button , if not cant meddle with the buttons. SIRI can be activated by pressing & hold the green call button on steering wheel.

Wui are having fun at Hong Lim park. You can google search , its located at ubi.

SE has just contacted me that he has registered the car today. Collection in approximately 2 weeks! Can't wait!!

Huh?? Reg car today n collect in two weeks. U sure u r fine with it?

Once car reg the 10years start counting. U wasted two weeks.

U better check one motoring if there is car plate number.

To add on, ppl usually collect their ride 1-3days after registration. If need two weeks, u better check reasons for delay.

Yeah have checked one motoring and the number is there with today's days already.

Normally its 1-3 days? omg he told me their policy is at least 1 week. I have asked him on when i would be able to collect and he said that they are processing 350 units that why there is a delay.

Should i ask him if i can collect it sooner?

Wah.. tat abit b***s**t in my opinion leh. Hw can have such long delay once car reg. Ur coe running on two weeks without driving n seeing e car.

I think u better ask for some freebies or compensation for delay. Or tell him to push ur collection asap n to allow collection on weekend

this is really quite bulls**t to me also when I collected my elantra one yr plus ago...SE told me they can only work on cars that are registered...

to me so long a car is already allocated to a confirmed customer, they should be able to start preparing it for delivery and only requires touch-up (e.g. a last car wash) before the customer comes for collection...

meaning if the car needs local leather installation, they can do it first beforehand...and when the customer confirms date of collection, register the car and just need to do a car wash before...which should not take weeks...1-3 days is fair I think
