Wishcumstrue 6th Gear August 20, 2015 Share August 20, 2015 (edited) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JVBEXS7LHJ8 Not bad ! At least he managed to get most of the tones correct considering that he has zero Mandarin background. Now let's compare with the original evergreen singer 邓丽君... Kiadaw 6th Gear August 20, 2015 Share August 20, 2015 Bon Jovi is still looking fit & amazing after all these years. He has been around like forever. I remember going to his concert in early 90s as a schoolboy.

Kiadaw 6th Gear August 20, 2015 Share August 20, 2015 LOL at the comment session in Youtube. 'Kids' arguing over if the song is Chinese or Taiwanese, instead of appreciating the song.

Watwheels Supersonic August 21, 2015 Share August 21, 2015 Class 95 mentioned it this morning. Vernon said he heard "chicken rice" in mandarin. I agree with him. "Wo ai ni yo ji fan" (I love you got chicken rice). It's a Mandarin song with Sgp local dish flavour in it.

Bon Jovi's pronunciation of "我愛你有幾分", especially the last two words, seems sufficiently accurate to me (I am a native Chinese speaker). I would say Vernon of C95 is wrong. imho, Bon Jovi's attempt is quite decent, considering a complete lack of Mandarin knowledge I would imagine. Sound better any people like Jacky chang & Andy lau singing mandarin songs if you ask me. If you close you eyes, & niot looking at Jon Bon Jovi singing, its actually sound better, like a rougher version of the original song. The pronounation can still improve but its not much worst than Jay chou. Edited August 21, 2015 by Kiadaw
