Aguero is a really good striker, able to get a shot in from such a tight box.

Silva is pure class with an eye for a pass n Toure seems to be back to his best.

Last season, think it was City's defence which let them down. Kompany was not his usual immaculate self. Seems like they all back to their best so the rest should watch out.

Chelsea defence is slow. Ivanovic the opposite of Kompany, he was undoubtedly one of the best defenders last season but so far he has been roasted by Monteiro last week n by Sterling this week. Terry looked his age.

Seems like the 2 Mancs teams have started well and up to the rest to play catch up.

Early days but nevertheless bodes well for the league!!

The blues look much better than the other red half brother... though both still have max points till date...

Hopefully, our dear real Red Pool can also secure its first home win and get the max points too... to stay in touch with the leaders...

Probably bystander is too strong a word....but compared him to the other more impact players like Silva, Aguero etc, I don't see much contribution from him...or else I am just too biased being a liverpool fan...haha

I think maybe you are...he was the impetus for quite a few attacks with his direct running....what he gave pool when suarez was around Edited by Galantspeedz

i thought City made Chelsea look very ordinary...granted Fernandinho should had been sent out for the elbow, but otherwise, it was a below par performance.

Sterling was practically a bystander....he did used his speed to good use but otherwise, I don't see his impact at all...and I am glad to see him falter...haha [laugh]

where got bystander ?? He kept running into defenders hor [grin] His touches were poor, passes either under or over hit

I feel ManC should start with Nasri first, then sub out for Sterling to run at defenders after the hour mark.

Blue winning convincingly but I cannot say the same about the red.

For Pool, it is a must win to keep up the momentum. We all know our next 6 away fixtures are daunting.

Nice interview by SoD here. He said what I want to hear most - he is here to challenge BR. Said it before, BR's previous assistant is just a yes man and that is not helping at all.

Missed the first half.

BR kept with his "right" team, not the rumoured team :(

Big Ben's goal should not be given if the ref interpreted the new offside rule correctly.

But I am not complaining :D

Bournemouth clearly had a better second half. Ritchie is giving Gomez some tough time.

Pool's build up play is pretty bad and create very little, just like the opening game. Despite changing formation from 4-2-3-1, 4-3-2-1 and finally 5-3-2, Pool just does not seem to cliche as a team

Unconvincing. Lucky. 3 points

They changed so many formations only to confuse themselves, while the Opp didn't ...

If BR still haven't settle his formation, this only show that he is naive and inability to lead the team ...

The next few matches ... Don't dare to think

Due credit must be given to Bournemouth I must say. They worked hard and kept their shape very well. They played a standard 4-4-2 system and worked very hard. If I am a neutral, I would say they definitely deserves a point.

Over the last two games, the way I see is that defensively, we have improved. Back 4 has been solid especially Clyne. Very impressed with him so far. Motm for me last night.

Milner, Hendo, Canand Lallana also did their best to protect the backline. Though they at times were dragged wide but the other CM covered them well. So without the ball, we are doing ok.

It is the build up play when we have the ball that worries me. The start XI is too one dimensional. Right side width provided by Clyne while Lallana drifts in. Left side Ibe providing width with Gomez being more defensively deployed. Centrally, we kept pushing the ball to Coutinho and hoping for more magic from him.

If a fan like me can see this, opposition manager can too. When facing a better team, our attacking threats can be easily neutralised and vulnerability at the back exposed.
