Actually, there are a few teams whom we can't put a finger on what is wrong or right eg what went wrong at Chelsea? How come Leicester can be so strong etc.

 

Whilst I also don't know what went wrong at the Magpies, what I do know is that Rafa can organize teams well so should be a matter of time before they get the playing side of it correct. I didn't feel he was the right fit at Real but I do feel he should be able to get things right at St James Park.

 

As for Ashley, he was a tight fisted like a typical businessman but to be fair he loosen the purse strings during the Jan window and was in fact the top spender IIRC. Problem is you don't get good buys in the winter window so maybe have to give him a another window but worry is if they drop down, he may naturally get tight fisted again, good luck!!

You think so?

 

I've always believed the top European Leagues are free from corruption cos they are well paid.

Whilst I could be wrong, I don't think I will be tempted if I'm plying my trade and earning tens of thousands of $ weekly. The one group of people who could be tempted are the referees cos they earning pittance and can easily influence a match, my 2 cents.

referees possibly.. but given the billions of dollars at stake for BPL betting, i'm not surprised if some players are on the take

 

after all, money never enough

 

anyway i will retain my faith in the game and continue to believe that pool is playing their best every week

 

even though sometimes the performance is like crap LOL

I think highly probable that manure will get the 4th ucl spot. Given their easier run in.

 

As a neutral I hope that west ham gets it. Apart from Leicester, the hammers are easily the most improved tea this season

Chelsea announce Antonio Conte as Club's Next Manager.

 

Always puzzled why top clubs have to announce new manager for next season even when current season has a no of matches to go.

 

It somehow weakens the current's manager authority and hold bec players naturally will tend to switch off to current's manager's demands or instructions. 

 

ManC is one example in point, too unsettling

 

They should at least make the players believe that there is a chance the current manager may still stay on.

The biggest difference between Chelski and Man City is that Gus knows that he is there on an interim basis and he is not taking the permanent job whereas Pelle is the current on-going manager. Pelle holds the permanent job at Man City.

The payout would be less if the current manager knowing that he would be out next season and fail to achieve the target set  when he (outgoing manager) signed on that doted line... :a-aggressive:

 

If he slack, he receive less payout or have to forfeit some of the money paid to him... :a-rip2:

 

So in this case, knowing he is going out, he cannot slack & have to meet the target set .. :lll._.:

Brazilian journalist Bruno Andrade says Liverpool are one of the clubs wanting Marlos Moreno, one of the major talents in Colombia now. He reported that Atlético Nacional wants €6m to let go of 19-year-old Marlos Moreno, who recently made his debut for Colombia.

 

Brazilian club Santos are aware of interest from Liverpool in Marlos Moreno. Information was confirmed by the ever reliable Globo Esporte. Santos president met Atlético Nacional's president to discuss a deal for Marlos Moreno, and a new meeting is scheduled in coming days.

Tevez said that there wasn't too much difference to him playing for Conte at Juventus compared to SAF at Man Utd.

 

I feel that he is a proven manager and will be a good appointment.

 

If Jose takes over at Man Utd, next season is going to be very very interesting

Now is whether he can convince them to join. No info on the players but can't wait for Klopp's revolution to begin this summer.

i wonder if the current crop of players, esp those with prima-doll inclinations can cope with a strict discipliarian like conte. 

 

his track record is good. but the player power at Chelsea are no joke.  Just imagine having the Beast (Costa) angry and flashing his teeth at you... even as a manager... also cold sweat!
