If I was Woy, I would drop Rooney and use the Euros as a plaform to build a team around established partnerships at club level. That means players from Tottenham, Leicester and Everton.

....just saying :XD:

England will do v. Well if they had a sheringham type of striker. Unless rooney can play like him..hehe.

Rooney still got exp lar. No england top scorer for nothing. Though his goal ratio compared to greats like lineker. Greaves. Charlton is not as good.

Rooney should b dropped, based on 1 simple thing : form. Kane n vardy has been in excellant form. Both of them very gd finishers. Y should any of them b overlooked by an off form rooney? He is not a leader. I don see him carrying his man u team n always disappeared in many of the big games.

Massive clear out not a good idea....and new player need time to adapt to BPL

I agree with u that massive clear outs are not good in general n worse still if the incoming players are new to EPL. That said think it's only fair to back Klopp up n give him players that will suit this style of play esp as he has assessed those he inherited for more than half a season to have an idea of who stays n who goes.

I've always advocated full backing of any Manager otherwise no point appointing him only to tie his hands behind his back which may come back to bite the club as the Manager will have the ready excuse that he was never given the tools to do his job properly.

Agreed :)

Hopefully he will be able to turn the tables around ...

actually England's current weakness is not upfront but at the back...

other than Joe Hart (who's not in the best form this season), there's no one good enough to challenge him

I didn't watch last night's game but in the EPL, Fraser Foerster and Jack Butland are having good seasons though Butland is out for the whole season. WBA's Foster was also in the running not too long ago.

Trouble with goalies I feel is that if you throw them in only occasionally, they may feel "cold" and need time to get used to the back four and it doesn't help being last man, their mistakes get amplified.

Anyway, whilst the England goalie situation is not ideal, it could be worse I feel as at one stage the no. 2s challenging were Championship goalies like Green and Ruddy (not saying they are bad but quite alarming no EPL ones that time)!!

Clean start, mould the team with the right players and right mentality.

He cleaned BVB off 17 players in his first season.

cos all the big clubs except Man City go buy talented foreign gk!

or simply because England doesn't produce world class gk, unlike Spain or Germany

eg Spain.. in last Euro, they had Casillas, Valdes, De Gea, Reina all challenging for the no1 spot

Sad but quite true!

Old days, England produced the best goalkeepers in the world!!

They had Gordon Banks who made that miraculous save from Pele at the WC 1970 and later they couldn't separate Peter Shilton from Ray Clemence till they had to alternate and even with alternating, Shilton went on to become the most capped English player of all time!! Those were the days [thumbsup]

in short, england dont produce any world class players anymore. which of the top players in each bpl team can readily go into first 11 of other top clubs in other top leagues?
