No joy in Europa League for BPL teams.

Spurs only need a goalless draw to go through but Pool and Man Utd will need home victory.

LVG OUT [:p]

As not a single one of the 4 English teams that played in Europe this week won, the authorities are getting serious on how they can help these teams that qualify for Europe stand a better chance.

English co-efficient is seriously in danger as the Italians have halved the deficit from what I read.

Scrapping FA Cup replays which is sometimes the life blood for smaller teams, making League Cup Semis one legged and having a winter break is now being seriously considered. Also FA Cup ties to be played on weekdays. The romantics which many Brits are, will cry at the diminished status of their beloved FA Cup......

A winter break is always the best solution ....

Noooo!!

You change managers too fast. Give that man some space and a chance. He'll come good!

[sly]

He's been given so much space and time for a change. About time to give that man a carton of Tiger and send him packing. [whip]

Wah really?.... Die die must duel with PG!

The Italians papers are reporting Conte is the one taking over at the Bridge

Thought it was Simeone? Allegri also being mentioned and another name was Jorge Sampaoli.

With the lack of an obvious candidate, more names will appear. Personally, I feel Pellegrini would be a good choice esp as Roman likes Chelsea to play attractive football but guess he will be considered as used goods since City don't want him anymore.

LVG: “In the 2nd half, Midtjylland were winning every ball & that's very disappointing. But still we have a chance (to progress), I think.”

Hmm, he can be more bullish about the chance I feel. Return leg at OT!!

If LVG is sacked by ManU... I really hope Chelski pick him up as their choice as he is a damn good manager. Hopefully 3 years with them and after relegation, ManShitty can pick him as replacement for PG.

Well, that's the only way to progress - for the 2nd leg and bullish about what is so obvious!

Brilliant interview from Mascherano.

Shared about the importance of having the core of the team progressive up from the academy and complement thereafter by imports. Talked about his switch in role for Barcelona as well when he couldn't get into their midfield.

I really like his answer when comparing the midfield trio of Barcelona when he arrived and the trio he formed when he joined Liverpool. Agree with him that him with Alonso and Gerrard offered a very balanced midfield.
