so proud of watford display in the second half, although they loss the match but the energy and commitment from the players is absolutely amazing.

this season really see the 'smaller' teams playing with more guys, believing that they can go toe to toe with the big boys. we used to see these teams play defensively in trying to avoid defeat, but now they play with no fear.

What a chip from Shaqiri.

i watched the first half and amazed at what hughes has changed the team compared to that thug pulis!! only long ball from setpieces..

now stoke play better than manure.. and pool even at times..

and im still grumpy over WTH BR dint buy shaqiri from BM that time..

he is the cheaper and shorter robben at BM!!.. so so so ..... [bigcry]

same thoughts, but i was wondering why Arsene Wenger din buy him after the World Cup

he's in the same mould as Alexis Sanchez... imagine Arsenal having 2 Sanchez upfront

Agreed on the transformation of Stoke. Their skilful players like Shaqiri, Bojan, Afellay and Arnautovic have made a big difference in their approach and they are a pleasure to watch and yesterday's game v Everton was a great advert for EPL!!

Well done Stoke and they can mix it up with their tough players like Shawcross, Bardsley, Whelan as well [thumbsup]

Watford together with Leicester have both been a breadth of fresh air in the EPL this season [thumbsup]

What I particularly like about these 2 teams is their bravery to play 2 upfront esp Watford.

In Ighalo and Deeney, they have 2 pacy and strong in-form strikers who are a real handful!!

There is a saying that fortune favours the brave and particularly apt for these 2 teams plus their incredible work rate and you can understand why they are so high up the table, well done!!

When Shaqiri is leaving Bayern, not just Liverpool who are not showing interest. Ended up the biggest club he can find to take him is Inter. For some reason, Mancini didn't really play him much and after half a season, he moved to Stoke. Even that move he held up till late in the window hoping for a bigger club but none came in.

We can only say, Hughes took the gamble and it is paying him back handsomely now. The front 3 of Bojan, Shaqiri and Arnautovic are a handful for any team in the EPL.

credit to Hughes lah. Affelay, bojan and Shaqiri were "spoilt" goods. Deemed not suited for big clubs. maybe they can be big fishes in smaller team ?

So Arsenal finish as the winter champions of the EPL! ie halfway point Champs which traditionally is year end.

Seems like the top 4 of Arsenal, Leicester, City n Spurs are slowly pulling away n a small gap has opened from the 5th place team, Palace. Also, other than Everton, these 4 are the only teams who have scored more than 30 league goals so far so stats looking good for them. What will the second half bring? In this unpredictable season, no one can say for sure but one thing's for sure is that more drama will definitely follow as teams get desperate for various reasons n the high pressing modern game which was first introduced in EPL by Pochettino at Saints (as far as I can remember he's the first to use this consistently) is now favored by a lot of the top teams, so roll on 2016!

Wishing all the contributors here a Blessed New Year 2016 to u n your loved ones n to better football!!!
