Csc2015 3rd Gear January 13, 2018 Author Share January 13, 2018 2.5 years on after we purchase Peugeot 5008, still love the car with the steady and comfortable drive and enjoying the ride with no major hiccups. If we were to choose all over again to decide, we will still choose Peugeot 5008 diesel as the fuel consumption is good, car is dependable and club members are wonderful group of people. ↡ Advertisement
HunrisonLukman Clutched January 18, 2018 Share January 18, 2018 (edited) New 5008 unveiled into Singapore in the 2018 Singapore Motorshow. This is how it looks. Nice Car....interior same as 3008 except longer and 2 more seats added behind a 7 seater. Test drive the 1,2L active on Monday, so far so good but not able to floor the accelerator....as traffic is heavy at alexandra road on Monday evening. 1.6L will be better more power. both turbo engines. SGCMHello 4th Gear January 20, 2018 Share January 20, 2018 5008 is for drivers who like relaxing, comfortable and effortless drive, not for drivers who like to zoom or speed around. The elavated height is yet another sensation. The i cockpit (computer display) is very modern. The 1.2L engine and smaller 3008 have been bagging awards overseas. 5008 uses the same 1.2L engine. Super value for money. I also tried Citroen Grand Picasso. Their suspension is best of the best. But you wait till their “magic carpet” suspension on C5 aircross to arrive, that will be ultimate. See YouTube for Citroen suspension, very impressive and advance.
Spring Moderator January 20, 2018 Share January 20, 2018 Advert in today ST, looks beautiful but as always, perception of French cars reliability is abit worrying.
SGCMHello 4th Gear January 20, 2018 Share January 20, 2018 Agree, people are skeptical on French reliability. I personally am a hater of French cars, until I test driven them recently. Suggest read what French car owners have to say. Peugeot Authorised Agent is giving 5 years warranty, this should rest concern on reliability. French cars overall package offers very good value for money. They also lead in design interior/exterior, they don’t follow the Germans.
fungyee77 5th Gear January 21, 2018 Share January 21, 2018 Advert in today ST, looks beautiful but as always, perception of French cars reliability is abit worrying. Am loving the new design language for Peugeot. With the 5Y warranty, think this would be in my shortlist if I were in the market for a 5+2 SUV. Between the more expensive X-trail & PI Kodiaq and the much older Outlander, think this 5008 is looking very good indeed.

Between the more expensive X-trail & PI Kodiaq and the much older Outlander, think this 5008 is looking very good indeed. Ya bro looks really tempting n beautiful. I like the flat bottom n top steering wheel but I’m not too sure on its practicality as I’ve nvr seen a flat top steering wheel before, only bottom. The interior is really stylish n classy n feels like an airplane cockpit. I suppose the 5 yr warranty does give peace of mind but then again if u r going to spend a lot of time in the workshop, it would be a real pain as car is meant to serve us n not be laid up. Having said all that, one of my friends who owned the previous 5008 got into a head on collision with a lorry who beat a red light at a junction n he walked away unscathed but his car was written off by Insurance. He had complained of some issues with his car n was actually so pissed off that he wanted to get rid of it just prior to the accident but he sure was glad he was in the Peugeot when the accident happened!! SGCMHello 4th Gear January 21, 2018 Share January 21, 2018 Agree, the size and prominent road presence is very similar to a Range Rover. But the interior is way ahead of Range Rover, completely fresh and modern. Bettter still, their 1.2L is CAT A COE.
Mhajime 5th Gear January 21, 2018 Share January 21, 2018 The first thing i notice when getting into the 2nd row of the new 5008, was the limited headroom. If you carry tall passengers often, this will annoy them.

Unlike Mat Watson who review many cars and spend very little time with each car. After watching Mat Watson review, u won’t be any wiser, his reviews are a waste of time.
