Haha so I'm not alone in making this 'rash' decision to part >$100k within few hours [:p]

My experience was opposite. Torn between Renault scenic, Chevy Orlando, Citroen grand Picasso. Did many test drives and settled on the 5008. And yes, 5008 interior was wow and 10 months later my kids still enjoy looking out of the sun roof. And every 2 weeks I smile when I pay less than $40 for full tank diesel.

Yes, every time we buy diesel, we felt like we were in JB buying fuel....we smile...can't believe that it's about $30 for 3/4 tank at Synergy for about 620km although the road tax is higher. :)

Dear 5008 owners (post facelift 2014), i am considering this model, with comparison against Wish, Mazda5, Grand Scenic Diesel, GC4P Diesel.

how would you rate current model's reliability. my main concern is reliability, i expect hustle free as much as possible.

how about the servicing downtime, can i collect car on the same day i send in the morning based on standard 10k/20k/30k km servicing?

Peugeot is serviced by Auto France and not CnC. Are we referring to the same company?

So you thought all french cars are serviced by CnC and your friend represent all Peugeot owners? I drove a Peugeot for the past 14 months and many things good with minor hiccups. Not sure how often you talk to your friend...

Yesterday did a few test drives and one of them were Peugeot 5008.

We liked the entire package but only the thing bother me is around 100k warranty.

With my current Japanese ride (sedan car), the maintenance cost is very affordable (and i service my car only at c&c since last 8 years), any bro can share how much are they spending at servicing? I checked with sales person and she told me i can check from service counter to know different packages.

For my current ride normally i book servicing in advance and pass my car in morning and get before 5pm, do they have similar practice at Peugeot?

Just be prepared anything wrong is a result of wear n tear, and not many 3rd party parts in the market.

My Peugeot will be 3 years this year and my free servicing at AF will expire. Sent in the car in the morning for service  and able to collect within the same day. So far so good, still enjoying the ride very much with no major issues.

Can't comment on the amount I spent yet. Hope this helps...

Neutral Newbie

I had my 5008 for slightly less than 6 years. My experience has not been very good after 3 years of driving the car. My 5008 broke down several times and was towed back to the workshop for 5 times already. Never had i have such experience with other cars that i own previously (Toyota, Honda) and the servicing is very expensive (conti cars are generally more expensive than Jap cars).

Everytime, it is a different problem with the car, so even they give me warranty on parts replaced, it was never the same parts that broke down. My recent issue was my fuel pump, and they were replaced 2 years ago. And everytime, my car was towed back to the authorized workshop, the bill was always more than $1500.

I have been burned badly by this car and looking at the forum, it has it's own list of painful experiences from drivers.

I strongly urge people looking to purchase peugeot cars to consider many many times before putting hard earn money into this.

A broken down car although can be serviced, but it hurts the pocket and time.

Just bought my 5008 and its diesel fuel type. It's my first diesel car. my previous car drove were Korean and Jap. Very chic and sleek looking car and has a good load of gadgets. Just drove for a few days already after pump up diesel at SPC. Is there any diff on diesel from diff pump station brand? Caltex, Esso, Shell...

Can we pump in JB...?
