I stays near Kallang MRT. I usually go car wash on Sunday evening @ AMK.

If no q, it is 15 mins job. There are 10 ppl working on your car from washing to drying to vacuum.

At nite, close @ 8pm

Yep, daily evening has car wash..

Car Wash Hours:

Monday – Saturday 6:00pm to 8:30pm

Sunday 6:00pm to 8:00pm

Closed on Public Holidays

They really have manpower... (they also has a new Car Service workshop on level 2 as well, I think there is another 3~4 guys up there) I am sure lady drivers will love to go there, because that Marcus is a Muscle man....:) so build like having burgers stuck on this arms... lol

If I happen to go there too and see a Mini, I will try my luck to see if it is you (hope I didn't remember wrongly you driving a Mini)

I did my coating at their Jurong branch wasn't so crowded there, service was also very good. They drop me off at Jem then when it was time I took a stroll back (they offered to pickup). If I recall Alan told me not to wash the car first two weeks after the coating was done fyi, he say better to let it bond first.

I ask cause I'm quite particular about car washing, wiping with dirt on the cloth will leave hairline scratches please note and most car washed (including PML) are quite boh chup about this. But since you sign the package just drop by and let them sort it out. When I took the car for a 2nd visit I have to say they really clean the car inside out almost like the day I picked it up solid work.

After I did the coating I still had my mini, one day I decided to wash both and can immediately tell the water comes off the bimmer much easier then the mini. Not to mention the mini even when dried will still have water stains all over. Confirm the coating does help alot.

actually after the coating work, I didn't managed to take any pics in their workshop as it was reallll packed. They got almost 6~8 cars there.. business is real good. the last 3 pics I took when I was popping by pml. went there to check out as the front 12V didn't work, the rear and tailgate one is ok. likely has a blown fuse.. (only defect that I can find after collected my car)

Wash car myself...???:) the last time I washed my estima was when I collected my car or when during CNY when back hometown (nothing to do so water wash and wiped only. Come to think of it probably not more than 10 times over the 6 years... :)

Actually I took up their package (1 foundation & 3 maintenance, can valid for 3 years), it comes with 6 free car wash and vacuum too. If I go outside car wash (e.g at Esso near my house), it will also cost me $8 just for the wash alone. Thus I likely will go back to them to let them wash & vacuum as it only cost $10... (but off course, this is price only for member and they only serve members for the wash). However, they only have workshop in Toh Guan and AMK and only wash car in the evening. Thus, I haven't which outlet to go, both also kind of out of the way as I stay yishun and work in joo koon circle. Even if I washed in the evening and drive to work the next day, I guess the car will be slight dusty by then....

3 things I like after the Zetough Ceramic PP, are

1 - shine still there even after I wipe off the dirt

2 - touch is still smooth after wipe off

3 - so far I cleaned 2~3 times dried up birdie poo and fruits stuff (that birds bite off while on tress, not sure if you know what I meant), it's quite easy to clean off, some may need so scrapping. But after the cleaning off the poo, the surface is still smooth as Baby Backside... ;)

As okay so the rims were not stock ones, no wonder. I like the rims you optioned for, it shows the disc brakes very nicely and looks fairly easy to clean unlike those multi spoke rims on the Bmw catalog.

Speaking of the Revol rim cleaner, when they did the 2nd wash on my car I thought the cleaner they used was quite sticky. Two weeks later when I washed the car it was harder then normal to remove the brake dust. I was gonna mention this to Alan but forgot  To be honest I'm not sold on whatever product they use for the rims, for my rims after I wash them dry I will spray the Armourall wheel protectant. Once sprayed my rims will stay clean for at least 2 - 3 weeks and the benefit is it makes the job of washing the 2nd time so much easier, one can about 17 bucks and last about 3/4 washes (1 wash = 4 rims) of course you need to wash the rims yourself to benefit

Missed out something. rims are nice?

1 - Stock rims don't look like this, this is the "Light Alloy Wheels Star-Spoke style 654, 16inch" that is under options which pml throws in during the purchase.

2 - Revol mentioned they also did a coating on the rims. This will make it look gloss and shining, and it will ease to clean off the brake dust after I drove for a long time. (he told me beemer and car with such brake tends to get brake dust onto the rims and it is very common. Not very sure he is telling the truth but i do see black black dust/spots on the rims after 2 days of driving my 116d)

As such, I am not encouraging you guys to get the 116d, but I do find the features or options they put in is attractive and worth the buy. Can consider if you are looking for a small car and got some extra budget to put in. Not too many people buy the 116d is also good, then my ride will look outstanding while out on the road or when caught in the traffic... ;)

Yep they mentioned on 2nd visit under "maintenance" they will just perform maintenance work to the PP, clean up the rims, and also polish the seats...

You got this wrong ;) this rims are under options. But pml throw in as a purchase spec when I bought the car, offourse the SE mentioned "they come free from the purchase... ;)

Ah got it, takes time to sink in that PML actually gives freebies :D

Wif rgds to the 2 weeks no washing that's what Alan told me if I recall, but just message Gavin and he will confirm.

The rim spray is damn good stuff, my bbk generates a ton of dust and even weeks after driving it still looks like it was just washed.

hmm, well... by looking at it, either pml throwing in extra freebies and earning lesser margin so as to appear attractive among others.. Or else, maybe the 116d is so much cheaper and mL simply put in more "features" to up the price.. ;)

I will put the rim spray kiv first, since Markus mentioned rim they also coated, shall visit them some time to "watch" them wash the rim to see if it is easy or they just want to make me happy by saying that...

but are pedals too close for your feet? drive with care esp if wearing wide boots

Casual shoe 2 is ok. Just that my business shoe and casual shoe 1, the bottom sole is sewed outwards and has a flat sole protruding outwards as shown in the photos I attached earlier. As such if driving normally, the sole tens to hook behind the brake and create some obstruction. As such, while driving, I am actually pressing the lower part of the accelerator and rotate leftwards when want to brake.

1 - Brake shift slightly to the left will be good, or

2 - when the brake pedal wears off, maybe I can simply take it out and press on the pedal without any Rubber padding. I tried to touch the brake pedal seems it is a piece of rubber hooking onto the metal piece.

Nice.. It look bigger than Golf?

Am considering either 1 series or 2.0 Mazda 3 hatch with Mazda cheaper by 10+k.

Does it comes with reverse camera and GPS?

if you want features/specs, go for Mazda 3 2.0...0-100 in less than 9 sec...you get full features...

if you want branding, BMW will win hands down.....

disclaimer: Mazda 3 deluxe driver here :)

I guess you probably was asking about series 1...

My first car was a 1.8l Rav4, the sales man also told me he drove a Rav4 himself. But when I asked him how to remove the rear Spare tyre cover, he tried to open from the top and end up tell me the cover is too tight and takes time to open as he never open before... Guess what, truth is unlatch from bottom and use little strength will be able to open.. ;)

the ride on 116d so far so good, car with boost and can pick up if need to switch lane for over taking. Just to some may feel the car seats a little low and difficult to get in for some old people..

I wish that it was lower sometimes! this is why I went 1 series over X1 :D ( think that the ride height is lower )
