You need work bench too? What kind of project? I drill press is really nice to have. I need a work bench so that I can "work" outside the house at the common corridor space. Maybe I can also bring it down to the roof top garden. The purpose of the work bench is so that I can clamp to secure the work pieces, which I think will make it safer. Eh... I just bought a Black & Decker WM225 from Lazada. < $100. On projects, for a start - magazine digital archival - shelving for bomb shelter racks I have many pieces of "Finland Pinewood" from a Seahorse Study/Bed Set. Don't think I have use for drill press. I have an old Dremel 300 and quite recently bought the Workstation. I think the Dremel will be obsolete soon except for the drilling. ↡ Advertisement
nazerath Turbocharged December 14, 2017 Share December 14, 2017 (edited) I too have something like your work bench, bought cheap coz was not in very good condition. If you do wood work, a cordless drill driver can be very useful. Edited December 14, 2017 by nazerath
Kb27 Supersonic December 14, 2017 Share December 14, 2017 I did some wood cutting and the tool I missed then was the square. So I got myself a speed square.
nazerath Turbocharged December 14, 2017 Share December 14, 2017 I bought mine from amazon, better than the steel one we have in sg. The large edge makes it very easy to use.

Actually I require the random orbital sander more.

Kklee 6th Gear December 31, 2017 Author Share December 31, 2017 This month, I finally saw cordless power tools in action, not once but twice - installation of instant water heater and setting up a piece of Ikea furniture. The reality was that cordless really made light of work !

Once the right temperature is reached, bumper becomes soft like cotton, just push the dent back in place. They do exactly the same in the workshops. Good job. The trick is handling the heat well and not crinkle the paint.

Lala81 Hypersonic September 17, 2020 Share September 17, 2020 Hmm looking to get a simple home cordless drill/screw. Just for use on regular wall or ikea for now. Anything wrong with getting this? Seems like best VFM. Bosch GSB-120 (GSB apparently has hammer function, but GSR is only drill).https://shopee.sg/BANSOON-BOSCH-Cordless-Impact-Drill-Driver-GSB-120-LI.-include-23pcs-drill-bit-set-carrying-case-2pcs-12V-battery-ch-i.94683324.4118670876 There's the 18V GSB-180 version. Another $60 more.https://shopee.sg/BOSCH-CORDLESS-DRILL-IMPACT-BATTERY-DRILL-WITH-ACCESSORIES-AND-TOOLBOX-i.134408112.2856067552 @Kb27
Hondaes8 2nd Gear September 17, 2020 Share September 17, 2020 GSB-180 version is better. I have one as well. comes with 2 batteries and you can charge one while using the other. If you observed, many carpenters or furniture assemblers use this type.
Volvobrick Supersonic September 17, 2020 Share September 17, 2020 For normal use, especially only wall for hanging and screwing Ikea furniture, don't get one that is too powerful. That's bad for screwing. Eg 12V Milwaukee Brushless drill driver is too powerful for screws unless you are screwing 4 inch nails. The 12v one seems good enough. Check if you can buy replacement battery cheap. (I have a total of 6 drills/drivers.....)
