JDM: None

Indo: Has air vents on e roof. Not sure if it is aircon, or just a blower.

Tks! So likely we will get it later this year I guess, saw this car at Cars at Expo and find the seat arrangements [thumbsup] and spacious too for such a externally small car!

The current JDM Sienta do not have rear aircon/blower.  The recently launched Indonesia made Sienta do have rear aircon/blower.

Seems like the Indo Sienta is better then! 3rd row aircon is very essential in out hot climate.

I know cos my MPV doesn't have a 3rd row aircon n it gets warm on hot afternoons for 3rd row passengers.

Another difference:

Engine

JDM: 2NR-FKE (109 PS, 136 Nm)

non-JDM: 2NR-FE (107 PS, 143 Nm)

- JDM is slightly powerful than e non-JDM.

- The "K" in JDM's 2NR-FKE referring to e Atkinson cycle, which will deliver better FC than non-JDM

Thks for the info!

Actually torque is more important for an MPV esp in our local road conditions so in this aspect seems the non JDM model has better torque.

With CVT, the minor diff does not make much diff in real life.

2NR-FKE is very new engine.  So, it will not be used in overseas model.

Another difference between JDM and Indonesia Sienta model is the ground clearance.  JDM ground clearance is 145 mm and Indonesia ground clearance is 170 mm.

Thks bro, much appreciated!!

I see lots of potential in this car for our local market.

Small cc, spacious, practical and with the Toyota badge, possible winner here.

Think other than Vezel, this is possibly amongst the top 3 PI sellers.

Would be interesting to see how Borneo Motors prices the Sienta. Which is likely to replace the Avanza.

My take is Borneo Motors will bring in the made in Indonesia version, and price it at, at least 10% higher than what Parallel Importers are charging now.

Likely only the top end model G will be brought in.

At current COE price, it will be priced at, at least @$110K, a 5% premium over its closest competitor, the Mobilio.

Haha.. My guess is correct.

My SE informed me that the Indonesia assembled Sienta will be sold here. Expected to be launched in the 4th quarter of 2016. OMV about $14K, which is lower than parallel importer's $18K-20K for the Japan assembled version.

Pricing is expected to carry a Premium over the Avanza ($113,888), as it is a New model.

At such pricing, the Mobilio has an edge on being at last $8K cheaper. And when the VTEC kicks in, with an extra 11 horses and 9 Nm torque advantage , can easily smoke the obese Sienta which weighs 140kg heavier.

If one still insists on the Sienta, there are some established PIs selling the top spec G model ( Japan made ) at $100K with guaranteed COE with no top up, which is considered a steal if you compare with Borneo Motor's pricing with lower OMV for the Indonesia assembled version. *Doesn't make sense for RADAR tyre to cost more than YOKOHAMA tyre, both being same specs.
