Sienta is easily the prettiest car on the road. 1.5L + sliding door very practical. How is the road noise of the new model?

Quite subjective.

Coming from sx4 HB, sienta is much quieter.

Others from wish/odyssey find it louder.

Do note that hybrid comes with a single layer of sound proofing in engine bay and wheel arch from what I can see

If compare to vezel in terms of FC, which one will win ?

Browsed vezel forum, seems like FC similar at 20 too. Vezel hybrid is more powerful as it is placed in Cat B.

Great! Hybrid is the way to go......i'm deeply convinced HB and power sliding door technology has arrived and settle down with mass market cars.

I Hope Toyota, will consider to put Wish with sliding door and HB too.

I am opposite of it, I hope that they don't fit sliding doors (power or non-power) as wish has it own design clues that they should kept it even for their next new model.

Power doors on another hand will make human more & more lazy until travel in car also lazy to open doors. Too rely on these technologies will make ppls forget how to open the doors using own hands in case the power door fail.

Wish, Sienta each targets different people group. Agree that their design shouldn't mix.

Power doors are for convenience. You can turn them off if you prefer.

Sliding doors however makes loading and unloading easier for kids and elderly.

Hi Keira,

Technology are for human race to embrace. Look on the positive side...we can better use our energy...like our bros said, can help elderly to guide them into the car easily.

Honda Odyssey is another car that converted from normal door to sliding.

Yes, I agreed that it helps alot especially for the elderly. But hope our younger generation will not become too used on it, there is gd & bad for using the technology.

Hope they will not take for granted in future for relying on the technologies too much & expect everything to be auto, no auto then cannot live liao.

Don't surprise that some airline pilots has forgotten how to fly manually because they rely on autopilot functions too much.

I want to believe even with the power switch off or motor faulty, you can still open the sliding doors manually. With our cramped car parking lots, sliding doors become very necessary. either you are squash between 2 huge cars or you find a big column next to your car. Those 5 doors cars also have problem opening their booth too. :a-bang:

Agreed. I have read on other posts where they complain no power winDow on certain cars. I was like ??? Nowadays still got such car in the market? Than I realise they were referring to no auto power window. What is the inconvenience of press and hold to wind down window. Haha

I think the auto power sliding door will lead to additional maintenance costs as like any mechanical parts, it will bound to breakdown after some time.

Just reminded by a Bro that long ago cars comes with manual wind up window.

I guess those time when the power windows technology comes into the main car system.

Alot of worried car owner are sceptic abt the technology too. worried abt maint and so on.

Well...the question is, would u be getting those car with wind up window if there is a new version in Sienta?

Embrace technology and move forward.....if worried...buy it at later date when technology has matured.

have a look at the thousands of old estimas around... first thing to go is their suspension wear tear, almost never the sliding doors.

the door mechanism itself is v simple, just a electrical latch open n close, nowhere close to suspension or brake system.
