toyota design always has the "best" legroom and space ... just take a look at camry vs accord/teana/etc

and definitely much spacious than a6/e-class/5-series due to rear wheel drive

1pix is altis

2pix is camry

just look at the reg legroom and space ... wow !

i will need that ......... my middle leg take up too much space

Turbocharged

You want impressive legroom with small wheelbase? Check out a Honda City... 2,600mm wheelbase, but rear legroom can compete with Camry... even if headroom cannot

Best is to go down in person to experience it yourself. No need to rely on the measurements, you're not buying a car online :)

Exactly. That is why I want to put each vehicle's wheelbase measurement to the test, base on the number written in their brochure.

If every car claims to have a long wheelbase, where do one start?

20mm of difference in wheelbase is not going to make much of a difference in feeling tight. I believe it's more of the interior design that is giving that difference.

That's what I thought too. What is 20mm anyway? But that's how I felt when I climbed onto both the NX & Forrester.

Other cars which ive test driven & taken note of the total passenger space are Nissan X-trail, Harrier PI & the CX5.

Xtrail 3rd row is a joke. Climbing in takes some effort. But good spacing between driver & 2nd row.

Harrier PI was tight at the back but plushy all over.

CX5 claims to have the longest wheelbase at 2700mm. Yes good legroom overall but from afar, its size is almost looks same as the HRV/vezel. Please correct from misconception if im wrong.

Well if we take it as not knowing anything about the car design, then it makes most sense to look at cars with longer wheelbase first, as logically they should have most interior room. Though the problem starts when due to design some of these cars have smaller interior room as compared to cars with shorter wheelbase...
