this riot is caused by mat rempits lah. nothing surprising since theyve got no jobs, only know how to take drugs n join gangs n useless police nowhere to be seen. malaysia boleh!

Same here lar but police/polis cannot be everywhere 24/7......i think yesterday also got incident in Bukit Bintang even after polis warning to disperse the crowd....Riot Polis came in with water cannon on standby.

its a combo of their stupidity + the rise of racial equality = racist malays feeling threatened by other races so they resort to violence = May 1969...

the video shows so many moderate malays standing ard watching those gangsters fighting...

There's an ALLEGATION that he was cheated by the HP shop...

Our own Jover Chew?

But that's very easy to allege after the fact - we just have to hope that nothing deeper than what it seems I guess - a few hoodlums trying to stir up trouble.

Seller on his knees?

its obvious that it was just an excuse for these mat rempits for the chaos bcoz of the oppo phone (there were a few versions of it . . . ).

but the fact is that the culprit was able to gather his gang for revenge on the very same day!

the episode in low yat plaza was NOTHING compared to the events outside . . . .

- another video on what they did to a car and the passengers inside!

- how they rampaged the car, dragged out the passengers and rained them with kicks & punches

- police just stood there watching until they are comfortable to halt them . . . .

its clear that someone's behind all these events . . .

I wonder if there's any compensations to the innocent victims.

I also wonder who are those the police claimed arrested and what are the outcomes from these arrests?

most importantly, there were no verbal warnings the trouble-makers, or would-be trouble-makers~!

those riot policemen on guards (if any)....... are they there to facilitate more troubles or . . . . ?

its really sad to have these in boleh land.................

have a view on this (in HK last week) . . .

wong chen on 'm'sia in crisis & the politics of hope : https://youtu.be/TN06VA-SbEo

sigh!

This has been circulating on whatsapp.

I am hearing conflicting accounts and I'll be the first to admit I don't know anything approaching the whole story. However, I think it's important not to react hysterically and avoid inflaming the situation further, especially with messages like the above (which I forward only as an example of what not to do).

I think the message is just some good common sense and level-headed advice. If you were Chinese in Malaysia, would you want to provoke the Malays in the current heated climate? You be like a sheep walking into a lions' den....They can eat you up any time. And yes, the Chinese are the minorities, never forget that. It is a lose-lose situation if they try anything funny. Just avoid that place, stay home, and keep their heads down, should be ok.

I blame the political leaders especially umno for playing the racial game. its very dangerous and counter productive.

instead of uniting the people they try to split and divide this is worst then corruption to me.

They had played this game back in 1964 to incite the racial riots. IMO it will come back and haunt them.
