Guys

I am considering X9 model.

If I dont install the battery pack, how long on average the the parking model recording duration will be like before voltage get cuts off at 12v?

And when voltage get cuts off, will there be event recording if that get triggered?

Thanks for answering.

Mine lasted the whole day without any issue. Have tried parking at a "busy" lot which had the camera recording almost non-stop, it dropped to 12.1v by the end of the day if i remembered correctly. After cut off is triggered, there is a turn-on voltage that u can set before it turns itself on again, so once cut off is reached, no more recording until u start your car again.

One other thing about X9 is the recording quality is not excellent if you are expecting that. Under normal conditions, it's excellent. But when driving at night, I feel it struggles with the lighting conditions, especially the rear. It struggles to capture license plate at certain lighting conditions.

Thanks Bro Rootkie

Apparently per the user manual, in parking mode the cam record continuously at 10fps until it hit low voltage cut off threshold that users set.

There is no where that says that I can set the parking mode to record say 6 hours after I park etc

There's an option for auto shutdown in the desktop app. But i didn't try it so not sure if that's what u are looking for.

From my knowledge, it will record until your car voltage drop below the LBP cut off which can be set by the user. I set 12.3V for mine which is the highest.

Once it cuts off, it will stop recording. Mine lasted for a whole night.

Cheers! :>

My car agent insisted I have to use a external battery else my car battery warranty will be void if I enable parking mode. No choice

Its better to have an external battery pack.

I also installed power pack (P6) and they mentioned the same thing as you. (warranty voided).

Dont like to take risk..

Turbocharged

Hi everyone.

This is what happened to my iRoad rear camera? 3 years and it's like that. Very lousy. V9

Appreciate if you can advise or assist me?

Great thanks.

the camera served well for 3 yrs, u still complain lousy?

If you park daily at direct sunlight, 24hrs surveillance, even the best camera will have issue.

It's time to change a new camera.

If after few years of usage, video images start to get choppy, it maybe micro SD card issue. Micro SD card have lifepend on number of read and write cycles. So once that write cycle usage is almost there, the micro SD card will start to slow down and thus video image then gets choppy.

Guys

I just install X9 and I find that the normal recording while driving is only 14-24 secs thereabouts for the clips. Is there any way to make the clips to be 60 secs per clip?

Thx

iRoad said that recording duration is about 20 secs for normal recording and about 10 sec is if it event related recording. I find it too short and perhaps there is a reason. I would like it to be 30 secs or 60 secs like my previous BlackVue.

For event, there is an option to set post event recording duration to a max of 30secs. Normal recording can't be change maybe u can feedback to iroad for future updates.

Hi.. Im using Q7.. Got  questions: i have samsung 128GB microSD card, can i use in the Q7? Or need to use their SD card? Thanks

Not a must to use their iRoad cards.

Any reputable cards will do though you may need to check the maximum storage capacity Q7 can support.

It is recommended to use their SD card.

However, if using another brand card and don't have any problems mean can use uh.

You can try, no harm about it.

Cheers!
