Yewheng Twincharged December 11, 2017 Share December 11, 2017 Iroad V9... IRoad v7and v9 have a lot of problems. So they introduced q7 and Q9. These 2 do not have any much problems so far. ↡ Advertisement
Julio369 1st Gear December 11, 2017 Share December 11, 2017 I already reduce the sensitivity of my v9 to the lowest but yet it still recording. Now the parking mode can only last approximately 11 hours, car only 6 mths old. My guess is most of my trips are relatively short and therefore did not charge up the battery. Or if possible, park at ulu lot, where not much people or car moments. But then, this attracts thief & vandalism, defeat the whole purpose of 24/7 car cam. I think even with front & back cam, determined sicko still can "draw" your car.

Honduck December 12, 2017 Share December 12, 2017 "...blurry when vehicle on the move,..." It is due data transfer using bluetooth between unit & phone to view. After you video had chosen and download to phone/pc, videos were clear and able to capture car plate number. Some pictures for viewing. At your own judgement. Your picture quality is very blur. Cheap single channel, safevue car cam from qoo10 @ $50 can record better quality than iroad.

Yah, I had two from Qoo10 by a seller in SL Tower, not because I wanted the second one for the rear but becoz the first broke within months. You pay what you get for. Although I don't recall it has fantastic or bad picture quality, it doesn't give me a peace of mind. Not only does the mount fall off the windshield easily after parking under the hot sun, it failed to capture a clip I wanted for reason I still do not know. i should have just pasted my $50 on the windshield which will serve the same purpose; doing nothing! A car cam is not just how fantastic the video quality is, but how reliable it is. Hi just add the Iroad power pack will do At over $300 a pop, I often wonder I might be better off install a full-size second battery in the trunk. lol

Bluemint 2nd Gear December 13, 2017 Share December 13, 2017 Talking about the car cam mount that falls after parking under the hot sun... I like to add another plus point to the Q9 for those who are deciding which car cam to buy. We all know how tiring it is for your arm to reach up and adjust the high-mounted camera. It makes matter worse when the microSD card is tiny, and require you to push it inward to eject it. I'm sorry but my finger nails are trimmed short. The Q9 mount not only securely mounts onto the windshield, the whole cam can be remove quickly and easily; just slide it out! Once out, you can bring the whole thing home to eject the microSD card easily. Plug the microSD card into your PC and play with its content with its dedicated Viewer app. Re-mounting is a breeze too, and it re-mounts to its set position so you don't have to re-adjust the camera's field of view. The Q9 is *not* the world's best car cam but it's nice enough for me.
Bluemint 2nd Gear December 13, 2017 Share December 13, 2017 hahaha yeah, can buy 2 full size battery....but consider the full sized battery weight Ke ke ke. The weight is okay lah. It's getting a good installer to properly hide it in the trunk that is tricky. That's why I still haven't do it. Sigh. With a second full-size, not only can I extend the parking mode recording for the car cam, I can run my Air Purifier (on a timer) after I have parked the car so it get rid of lingering smell from food I brought home. Did you try removing the microSD card from the cam and playback the clips on your PC instead? To me the mobile app connected via Wi-Fi is for adjusting the cam's field-of-view, doing settings, and selecting clips to download. Full smooth playback is best done on a proper computer with enough processing power to decode the video. Edited December 13, 2017 by Bluemint
