Try formatting it using exFAT rather than FAT32. It works for me. I'm using Samsung Evo 64GB also.

Would you know:

how to format in exFAT?

is the format ok to use in handphone/camera?

If done that (format in exFAT), but still can't work, can use the card in handphone or camera again? Or once formatted, then cannot use for other purpose anymore?

tks.

Format it on a windows PC. Under file system, default should be FAT32. The other 2 options are exFAT and NTFS.

Yes it is ok. FAT32 supports only up to 32GB and a single file size of not more than 4GB. exFAT is Extended File Allocation Table standard which is newer than FAT32 and supports 64GB and single file size of more than 4GB. (I haven't tried on a 128GB device but it should work).

The exFAT should work on newer devices but less common compared to NTFS (which is more commonly used for non-removable devices such as hard disks) and FAT32 which is more common but less flexible.

Dun worry, if can't work u can still use a Windows PC to reformat it again back to FAT32. I'm quite sure it will work on the V9 S2.

Cheers.

I tried both format. Still does not work. So I just ordered 1 Sandisk Extreme 64G which is much faster. See if that would work later.

Hope the Sandisk works for u. :)

Thanks bro. Actually I tried that also. Every time I insert this card in whatever format, the camera just flashing the lights and I even cannot connect it. Until I insert the original 16G card and reboot. Then returns to normal. Let me see if a faster card can do the trick.

Yup, when i put a samsung evo 32 gb card inside, it also uttered something which i didn't really hear properly, but bottom line is it didn't work.

So i put back the original card.

OK. Tks for the instructions. Will try to find time to try it out.

This can only be done on a PC right? I actually use a mac. Has an old pc at home so will need to find time to use it.

You mentioned about using the V9 to format it? How to do that, actually?

How about formatting it using the dedicated PC viewer software? There is a 'Format Drive' button on the 'Removable Disk' tab under 'Setup'.

All the best! :)

yes. That's the feature I tried once also. Does not work for me. Think maybe same evo also have speed difference so some works while others not.

Yes. I'm sure it can also be done on a Mac. Just have to find the disk utility or something and set the option to exFAT format. I don't own a Mac and in fact never use it b4 so I can't be sure. Lol

You can also try using the Dedicated PC Viewer software to format the SD card. (i.e. Under Setup, under Removable Disk tab using the 'Format Disk' button.

I'm not sure if it can be done on the iRoad itself. Worth a try. I only know it works on a BlackView.

Cheers!

Tried an Sandisk Ultra 32GB which works fine. Now, just waiting for the 64G to come to replace it. On paper, Evo should be faster than Ultra. But sounds only Samsung Evo has this issue.

I just tap my batt. do you really need the power pack?

any bro installed the power pack plus 13600mah external battery?

Any feedback?

Is it worth the $400?

You can change car batt twice with $400

Assuming a car batt can last 1 year plus to 2, can the power pack last 4 years?

I just installed the small iRoad Power Pack (6800mah). I was connecting previous directly to my car battery for 1.5 years.

Why I got the powerpack is that even with a 3 month old Varta Silver, my camera will auto cut off after maybe 15 mins of parking even though I drove for 30-45 mins. My cut off voltage is set at 12V. So in order to get recording during parking, I decided to go for the iRoad Power Pack. My installer told me to just get the smaller one as the big one is really big and its overkill. So far, for the smaller batt, I am able to get easily 12-15 hours of recording from it and it still have 70% battery capacity left. Based on the specs of the battery, when fully charge, it can last 37 hours for iRoad V9 on dual channel recording which is more than enough for me.

Do remember if you decide to get the big one, you must have space to hide it as its big.

for longer video recording and preserve battery life.

car battery down very inconvenient

thats another way to look at it,

but also factor in how much is the time and effort and inconvenience going to cost?

It's too big to go into Glove compartment. It's below my front passenger car seat.

Yes, inconvenience, time & effort is another way to justify purchases. (applies to all accessories) kekeke.

I installed a normal volt meter to monitor the batt status, it actually have tell tales before any breakdowns by the batt.

When the volt was 12plus instead of 13-14plus while driving, It was telling me there is a problem in the charging system, my alternator kaput that time.

When it shows 11.6 to 11.8V before I crank the engine, it was telling me batt not holding charge and going to flat anytime. i stubbornly wait till it was flat just overnight...
