Got my new ride on 28 April. AD's service guy strongly recommended V7. Said V7 proven most stable, V9 has issue with remote interference while T10 is untested.

So got V7 and so far no issue. Installed switch to protect battery as I do not need the camera on when I park at home.

hi

got a friend who use V7 and that he experience some interference with his car remote for his ride (Nissan - old sylphy). am using T10 now (about 2 weeks old) so far so good (also Nissan).

T10 come with voltage cut off, meaning that when the car battery drop less then certain value (can be pre-set) it will automatic switch off (so far can last me for over nite parking - 8p till next morning 7am) the car cam.

have you try download the video? especially during nite time? purpose of installing one is to able to see what it capture especially at nite (to see the license plate).

My new ride actually come with DVR (front and back) with video connect directly to my HU (live view). but the quality is really lousy during nite drive....that prompt me to change to T10....just in case when I really need it..i can see something..

I reckon that park mode is quite important, even when you park at home, some driver might just hit and run. More true when you park outside  in public or dark area. if you do a search, there are a lot of such cases.

iRoad V9 users set how many % for the event recording capacity?

Hi dcb

Not sure about v9. But my t10, can be adjusted for the event recording. (I assume v9 should bw the same).

Event recording is more for park mode, so for me i set 40% of the memory for event recording.

yes , i leave the camera on when parked in places where there are other cars around. the biggest problem i have is remembering to turn camera on after parking at home.  [laugh]

My recordings were deleted all the time on a 64GB memory card. And each time you remove the SD card, u need to back up because of the ridiculous auto format function. IRoad v9 user.

The wifi only works within the car. I should have bought the Blackvue. If anyone is interested in taking over my almost new set 3 days old, please let me know I wish to upgrade to Blackvue.

The blackvue is indeed more user friendly and the avi files can be exported easily by using copy and paste using OTG or on a computer.

The iRoad has a "backup" function that does not allow recordings to be erased but over written. I have tried removing the SD card, deleting the media files and putting it back to the iRoad, only to check that the files were restored.

You might have a faulty iRoad like what raymonnnn said. Speak to the distro about it.

Anyone encountering memory card issue with v9. Sometimes ok sometimes not working saying card damage.

hi Kevinhwc

can I ask what Micro sd card you used? cos I was told must use their original one (IROAD) else it will spoil easily.

My T10 package only come with 16GB, and I brought my own 64GB (Samsung brand) there but was told that it will spoil easily under hot weather, so ended up I top up another 80$ for the original SD card (IROAD brand).

So far been working fine (original card) and have taken it out twice to view the recording. no memory lost or anything.

Hi I saw the advertisement for BlackVue that you are able to receive notifications for impact when you're away from your car, is that real? That's the 650 version, wow if that's e case when I park my car to grab for takeaways, I don't need a coupon, I could rush back

As for iRoad, I'm just disappointed with their app, their functions/ features, it's just not advance enough, what's the point of having all e gr8 hardware specs, but e software is weak.

The dashcam is not unique enough, it basically operates as any dashcam.

Besides I'm using mac, e software GUI for windows is way better than mac, so there.. Why I'm so disappointed with my v9 investment.

Whilst BlackVue seems to have a few state of e art functionality.

As for SD card, I'm a diehard Kingston memory user, I've been using all kinds of Kingston memory for the last few decades
