I think so but, if there is no reason why i have done it?

Do you know why it is too much hot? The most of the components are from China and IROAD uses Cheap components only. So, it is too hot. If you use wifi connection more than 30 mins, it will be faulty definately. A lot of problems on IROAD wifi dongle and V9 is too much hot when working.

Dear whypaymore_sellcheap,

You kept saying iroad not good, so any good camera to recommend that does not have the problems faced by iroad?

Been using v9 since November. So far so good. Maybe I am just lucky to get a good unit.

It always turns off whenever it reaches the 12v cut-off voltage I set.

Bought my iRoad last year.

1) Rear camera dead 2 times. Changed a new one.

2) Images for Rear camera kept jumping. Changed Rear camera 2 times but was not resolved. Problem addressed after cable changed in Jan.

3) Now my images for Rear camera kept jumping.

Kind of disappointed with the product. Thought that problem addressed and let the matter rest.

Cable issue which made the image "jump". Anyway, problem solved.

Camera is reliable so far.

Great to hear that.

But just to clarify, the jumping image means the whole image is jumping up and down while playing on

the phone is it?

No. It is the recorded footage. Be it you viewed on phone or downloaded to your laptop, the entire image "jumping up and down". This is related to cable issue.

Dear bros, this a repeated post, since I read that many is facing similar problems.

I installed V9 on 19 Nov 2015. No problems encountered, until sometime in Jan 2016, I started having this message:

"The camera disconnected. Shut down the system."

Initially, it was infrequent, like once a day. Then it became very frequent. I got in touch with my installer. He said that this was due to a faulty cable (coaxial cable) connecting the front camera to the rear camera. Took him about 20 minutes to change it to a new cable. No charge, as the unit is still under warranty.

After the change, I am glad that I don't hear the message anymore.

Other than this, the V9 has been working fine.

My take:  It seems that a batch of faulty cable could be a contributing factor to the problems that many bros face.

My neighbour is driving BMW. I think he is using Thinkware Camera. I noticed that his parking mode sometimes work and sometimes doesnt work. You can see from the LED light on the camera.

iRoad V9  compared with BlackVue DR650GW ??

Which to choose?

Seems from here that V9 has quite a bit of issues, but seem to be generally "OK" after the issues are resolved.

Just 1 questions though,... for V9 users.

During night recording in "Parking Mode",.... is it clear?.... meaning can the camera pick out images and number plates clearly??

Most of the time, not of an issue.

However, if the area is dark AND / OR  if the car were to turn at the corner swiftly, you may not be able to see clearly. The camera is not a night vision type.

Not sure, if there's any camera out there that can overcome this issue.

OK,... thanks.  Guess it all depends on the angle of the car.

But in a multi storey car park where there is sufficient light,... I think should be OK... right??

I've seen a vid of the BV DR650 in parking mode,... night time, open car park,... and it manages to capture the car plate quite clear.

A car was reversing and hit the camcar and the offending car plate was clearly visible.

Have not seen one on V9,... so was just wondering if it is just as clear.
