IRoad In-Car Camera Recorder Users

Just wondering, for V7 / V9 owners, do you usually keep your wifi dongle on the camera most of the time or do you remove it? I found that the camera sometimes won't detect the USB wifi dongle when I plug it in unless I reboot the camera.

Just leave it on camera, y need to remove it in the first place. Tiny and easily lost then how...

The toggle will feel 'warm' but not as hot as some said.

 

I only find a slight difference in temperature of the camera with or without the tongle connected to the camera.

 

Been using for a year. No issues with it being connected to the camera and mine is an open air car park.

 

And yes, you need to reboot the camera or off it before plugging in the tongle.

Overheating issue? I never encountered such problem before. my V7 has been serving my family for more than 1.5 years...I don't see any flaws, except the earlier setting or configuration issue which I have solved long time ago.

Can anyone advise what should be the settings for the event filter page? What happens if I turn off impact, parking? And the percentage changed to zero?

I have an iroad t10 and my 64gb sandisk card was working until this morning.  It keeps saying memory card is corrupted.  I've tried to format in the car and on the computer but it keeps saying the same thing.  I've tried the card that came with it and same message.  I turned it off for awhile and the original card was working but when I put the sandisk back, same error message.  anyone else have this issue?

I just updated my IROAD firmware. Very much stable and iroad is performing better than before. Should try it now. Update the apps at home then go to car to access the iroad to update again on device. Very promising!!!

Go to event to select the video that you wanted to view. While viewing, you can choose to save in your phone.

You should leave the impact on and select 60% of storage. Another 40% will go to normal recording. If you set zero in event, no recording on impact or parking in your storage. Edited December 11, 2016 by Jq1988

Sandisk is not really recommended for dashcam except if its the high endurance model.

Got a flat battery after using it for 2 days. However, my car batt is 1.5 year old. (Maybe time to replace)

 

Anyone knows if the blue front and rear cam led suppose to blink or totally off in parking mode?

 

Mine is not blinking while parking and blinking while driving.

thanks for your reply. will check with the installer tomorrow.

 

btw, you can use your hand put in front of the cam to see if it blink while driving.

 

After visiting the installer and reconnect some wire it can record parking mode with motion sensor now.

 

Front blue led blinking while parked.

Rear led always on no matter driving or parked. (is this normal?)

Btw, which setting are you using?

 

Mine is impact and parking ON. Motion OFF. Parking sensitivity LOW. Impact sensitivity MEDIUM.

Event memory 20%.

 

However i find the audio is quite lousy.
