V9 user here. I set to parking mode and motion. Sensitivity is medium. There will be recording as long as any vehicle passed by mine. So far so good. You may want to set the sensitivity to low.

If you are not driving for 5 days, it is better to unplug as my friend who is using V7 had his battery total flat after he came back from holiday.

When I got my V9, the recording while driving on the road is ON and OFF. I did troubleshooting and realised that it is not camera issue but the cable connector is faulty. Hence, when I use force to push the connector, it will be POWER ON and when I released it, it will POWER OFF.

hi @elmoguy,

where does your v9 get the power from when car is in parking mode? thanks.

Hi, I don't use power bank. My V9 obtained power from the car battery.

My 2 friends and myself bought V9 together and so far so good. Initially, I faced some cable issue, the workshop guy changed for me. Ever since, it is running good.

Based on the only 7 posts made by the gentleman... it would seem so:

Do you know why it is too much hot? The most of the components are from China and IROAD uses Cheap components only. So, it is too hot. If you use wifi connection more than 30 mins, it will be faulty definately. A lot of problems on IROAD wifi dongle and V9 is too much hot when working.

Owner of V9.

YEs, the format is not standard. Need to export to AVI in pc/notebook. The app is practically useless, only for change settings and view. Can't save video in iphone also. Export video I can't choose PIP either.

I can confirm that the front unit of V9 is HOT! but I never try park under hotsun and verify its functionality. Only know it drain battery like no body business.

If I were to buy another car cam, won't be considering iroad anymore.

Choice is on you. But, IROAD uses cheap components mostly from china. That is why there are a lot of problems on IROAD cameras. V9 has critical problems since it uses cheap china components but it is FullHD. That is why V9 has a lot of faulties but, work shops never tell you because IROAD re-seller prices are cheaper than blackvue and Thinkware. V9 only S$ 219, V7 only S$169

T10 is Fullhd and screen.

IROAD T8 has so many hot problems. choice is on you. T10 re-seller price is S$ 289 + 64SD card

Sorry to hear that. Where you staying? Your neighbourhood so much hit and run? [:/]

T10 has a wider angle, you may want to consider that. There's also temperature monitoring function too.

I'm using V9 but then it is too early for me to change at the moment.

attachicon.gif2.jpg

So far, I only downloaded the file by Wi-Fi and it is AVI format.

attachicon.gif3.jpg

Yes it is not because of wifi dongle, because IROAD uses mostly cheap China components.

IROAD T10 is Full HD and screen and also most of components also from china.

choice is on you.

The heat is not due to wifi dongle trust me, I pull it out and tested. IF you didn't pull out the wifi dangle will heat up also.

CAn we really download video via wifi? Andriod phone only? As far as I tried, iphone can't.

T10 is interesting, 2.3W power draw only. Any trade in program for iroad? I wanna get rid of v9 if t10 really won't heat up and draw much power.

Like tat how sia. Lol.

Btw will the current IT show a good to get incar? Shld be a better offer right?

So far iroad T9 & blackvue are mentioned but with hot weather issues. T10 is new but didnt state that it is heat resistance, only this: "high performance CPU which is designed as low voltage consumption(2.3w) prevents heat deformation and degradation phenomenon and enables stable system operation." So might have issues when sunlight is heating up the cam.

I got a spare set for my v9 when I experimented on making a switch to off it instead of pulling out the cable.

Not sure if it's compatible. I live in JURONG west st92 in case you wanna try.

You can also get the cable from the corvit office at WCEGA TOWER at bukit batok. Should be around $20.

You wanna try disconnecting the rear camera cable and see if the problem persists? Heard older batch has some rear camera cable issue. Edited by Ken_leong

Had once during the first few months ... check rear camera cables whether it is loose. Unplug and plug again properly.

Looking for a reliable multi-angle cam that can record 24hours with/without using car battery and chargeable outside. Any recommendations?

hi @elmoguy,

Iroad V7, v9 have many flat battery cases, if you dont trust me? Call IROAD OFFICE and ask them how could we prevent flat battery? They will say it has been some problems on iroad pls plug out the power cable. So ridiculaous. They admitted iroad makes a lot of flat battery problems.

My V7 is dying too, replaced a used unit from Corvit but still the same. WTF

Seem like IROAD cannot make it at all.

I have emphasized IROAD V7 is rabish. So many blur problem, not clear image, interference and so on. Just buy and get stressed out.

That is a very common problem on IROAD. There are so many this cases.

if you do it a little bit others may still believe you but looks like you have over done it now and make your agenda very obvious. don't always think that others are stupid and dont make yourself look stupid.
