elmoguy 2nd Gear March 7, 2016 Share March 7, 2016 (edited) Ic. Thanks for sharing. Since install b4, is the price i state expensive? One more question, why the need for rear cam since rear ended confirn win claim, right? Did any of get the side cams to see scratching culprits? Think best to install one 360 all round view cam on top of car roof. Confirm no horse run. Haha. Pardon my jokes. It just a car only. Don't waste money unless you have much to spend. Camera is to record down the happenings during accident or road bully who almost cause you an accident. Mavwong 2nd Gear March 7, 2016 Share March 7, 2016 Owner of V9. YEs, the format is not standard. Need to export to AVI in pc/notebook. The app is practically useless, only for change settings and view. Can't save video in iphone also. Export video I can't choose PIP either. I can confirm that the front unit of V9 is HOT! but I never try park under hotsun and verify its functionality. Only know it drain battery like no body business. If I were to buy another car cam, won't be considering iroad anymore. My Blackvue 650 with Celllink B has given no issues at all over the two cars I've installed the setup in. No overheating issues (but I park under shelter almost all the time). Don't use power magic pro, it's practically worthless in modern cars like the BMW, it'll still mess up the car battery. With regard to iRoad, no experience, but I'm tempted to install it on another car based on the glowing testimonials here. One big advantage is 1080p front and rear (Blackvue 650 is 720p rear). I do have a question about the video files - I heard the format is something special, and needs conversion to be playable on a laptop, is that true? The Blackvue records simple mp4, and this is highly convenient.

Recent one is last year, only realise a big patch on my right front bumper after dropping kids in school. Damn angry to have 3 hit & run at home carpark. Outside always hit with dent and light dent on the doors. Even pump fuel also got hit by the pump.

T10 has a wider angle, you may want to consider that. There's also temperature monitoring function too. I'm using V9 but then it is too early for me to change at the moment. Think best to install one 360 all round view cam on top of car roof. Confirm no horse run. Haha. Pardon my jokes. Price - I paid much more, but I think I kena cheated. But it was newer tech then so maybe prices were also a bit higher, but I think I still kena chop carrot. I won't go back to that shop any more. Rear-ending is not generally fault of one behind, but accusations of sudden jam brake and even that you reversed into the other car may complicate your life and drag out the claim. If drag out too long, they may just decide 70-30 and close the case, haha. You still lugi. And then there was someone who mentioned the incident of someone (pedestrian) throwing themselves against the car's rear and claiming the car reversed into him to fraudulently claim for compensation. No doubt, rear cams are also protective. In fact, it's best to have 360-degree protection, but side cams are not that popular yet. Sorry to hear that. Where you staying? Mavwong 2nd Gear March 7, 2016 Share March 7, 2016 The heat is not due to wifi dongle trust me, I pull it out and tested. IF you didn't pull out the wifi dangle will heat up also. CAn we really download video via wifi? Andriod phone only? As far as I tried, iphone can't. T10 is interesting, 2.3W power draw only. Any trade in program for iroad? I wanna get rid of v9 if t10 really won't heat up and draw much power. Do you unplug the wifi dongle? Heard that the heat come with the wifi dongle. Sglanevo 2nd Gear March 7, 2016 Share March 7, 2016 Not cheap or this usual price for 2 cam. Q10 sell $472. Lazada/Corvit $590. So the v9 no good for open parking. Haiz. If at home, its open air parking. I stay ard TP area. Park the MSCP also kanna kiss, park open air parallel, kanna a scratch from rear boot area till driver door. Deep scratch all thw way. Then last one open air, kayu driver, must be parking fail like what i usually see in stomp, ber chia kor or reckless driver commnunity
Dscheng 3rd Gear March 7, 2016 Share March 7, 2016 blackvue overheat, V9 also overheat.. then which one is the best? Haha..
Sglanevo 2nd Gear March 8, 2016 Share March 8, 2016 Like tat how sia. Lol. Btw will the current IT show a good to get incar? Shld be a better offer right? So far iroad T9 & blackvue are mentioned but with hot weather issues. T10 is new but didnt state that it is heat resistance, only this: "high performance CPU which is designed as low voltage consumption(2.3w) prevents heat deformation and degradation phenomenon and enables stable system operation." So might have issues when sunlight is heating up the cam.
Rayoflight 5th Gear March 8, 2016 Share March 8, 2016 My Iroad v7 can download video via WIFI to iphone using the IROAD app. I am pretty sure both v7 & v9 share the common iphone app.
Mavwong 2nd Gear March 11, 2016 Share March 11, 2016 I just confirm the V9 affecting my slyphy 2010 keyless entry. Previously it didn't happen from Aug2015. I only notice this since Feb this year. I thought my remote battery weaken. But after changing battery it didn't solve the problem. I unplug the camera, problem solved.
whypaymore_sellcheap Clutched March 12, 2016 Share March 12, 2016 I have been using V7 since 2014 Sitex, and V9 since 2015 ITShow... So far no issue and even there is once I can't connect to my phone, was advised by IRoad immediately without any issue. So for me, it's iRoad all the way. Have not use Thinkware or Blackvue, so can't comment but I think all of us iRoad users were kept away from using them are their pricing... Super expensive! i am not offensive, but IROAD korea prices are ridiculous cheap. V9 + door to door Free installation = S$250. I installed V9 on 19 Nov 2015. No problems encountered, until sometime in Jan 2016, I started having this message: "The camera disconnected. Shut down the system." Initially, it was infrequent, like once a day. Then it became very frequent. I got in touch with my installer. He said that this was due to a faulty cable (coaxial cable) connecting the front camera to the rear camera. Took him about 20 minutes to change it to a new cable. No charge, as the unit is still under warranty. After the change, I am glad that I don't hear the message anymore. Other than this, the V9 has been working fine. Touchwood so far. I installed V9 on 19 Nov 2015. Many V9 have that problem. Interference!!!! It is because the rear cable has critical problem. So hopefully, my installer put in the newer cable, if not, the old problem will re-surface again after a few months... New batch cable also has interference problem! Same! I upgraded to V9 bcos of the full hd feature. And during the pre launch sale it was selling at a very reasonable price... $250. I was fortunate to be able to get associate with iRoad during their roadshow cos i bought their V7 at $199 only. You bought V9 S$250, V7 S$199. But, how come the prices are now V9 540, V7 400. Mavwong 2nd Gear March 13, 2016 Share March 13, 2016 My bad, probably I am noob. I try harder to save the clips from iphone. Now only found out I got to stop the clip from playing (auto play after selecting the clip), the "save" word would pop out and let you save. Yah, one more feature of iroad. One you connect to iroad wifi, everytime you will auto connect to it if you nearby till you ask your iphone to forget this network. What I do is everytime I got to forget this connection and reconnect and key in password. Other way is just pull the wifi dongle, but replug in the dongle you have reboot the cam. Not true. Sglanevo 2nd Gear March 14, 2016 Share March 14, 2016 Frm what most of the cam u bought, iroad and marbella is the brand to use? Safevue is the cheapest among all but hve no park mode? That aside, for those on park mode, do u connect to a portable battery or u guys buy the cellink or power magic pro? Mavwong 2nd Gear March 15, 2016 Share March 15, 2016 Just for Iroad? Lolz hahahaha. I could just enable "ask to join network" but I won't as all my other wifi connection will be manual too. Anyway, why would Andriod phone made any difference? Auto Connect and Forget network? This is strange. Get an Android phone. ↡ Advertisement
