Was following a friend's car and I realize she was always travelling 10+ below the speed limit...

When we stopped, I asked her why. she said she was going 90+ Kmph all the way.
Then I took a car for a spin and check the speedometer against my phone app.

To hit 90km/hr, she have to go 102-105km/hr.....

My friend say she did not know her speedometer was off and always thought that those who overtook her from the left are speeding.....

Now I finally know why got so many people going 70-80km/hr on the rightmost lane of the expressway....
That is because their speedometer reading is off after they changed their rims/tyres.

what so special about left most lane or lane 1..why so many ppl like to go there..as soon as they enter into the express way..straight cross two lanes and into lane 1..even the lane 2 is so clear...

Don't know why...and some more lane 1 is always very easy to have accident..ppl still go there like bee attract to flowers

 

Hack care about ppl hogging or speeding..it their problem..they get fine or charge to court..is their problem..they get killed or accident ..is their problem..

important thing is..make sure you reach your destination in one piece and still breathing and in the real car...not in a paper car with your mouth sucking or licking a white candle..

I define road hogger as someone who occupies the rightmost lane when he has NO CAR immediately in front of him (say 3 cars distance or more).

 

Obviously if the guy has someone ahead of him I don't blame him for hogging. I look for the idiot in the front of the queue instead.

I'm a lane 2 driver by the way,hopefully out of the way of the heavy vehicles in lane 3 and the nuts rushing to the toilet in lane 1.

If the speed limit was 180 kmph in lane 1 ,yes I would definitely drive there , but there is no difference IMHO between 80 - maybe 120 in a modern car.

Unless it is "exit only" lane then you have to rely on there being a gap to squeeze into...

I notice TP never flash headlights at them one leh. The TP will just overtake from the left. However, I hardly encounter any driver that dare tailgate TP. The only one time I saw a driver tailgate TP on lane one, the TP actually moved to the middle lane to let him overtake. But immediately turn on his blinkers and pulled the driver over.

Hogger got 2 types. The blur ones that don't even know they are hogging the lane. And the other type is the ones who think as long as they travel at the speed limit is Ok already. The first one will probably not even notice the ambulance. Lol.
