When I read reviews, like Amazon example, I always read from bottom up.

Read the worst case and see if it's plausible or maybe it's just user/reviewer problem.

If everyone says excellent, then there's nothing to look for, to distinguish between genuine from fake review.

wrong!

if you left a negative review directly on a particular workshop; i.e. revealing the merchant name

your review will not be posted - obviously, it is taken off.

when you tried again, the message error appears.

you can only find out if you can review on that merchant again in the next 3 MONTHS.

by then, God knows what error messages might come out . . . .

this clearly deterred bad reviews . . . .

I really wonder now if those 'good' reviews are really geniune??? [shakehead][shakehead][shakehead]

from here, dun think anyone should really trust the reviews anymore !!!

That really sucks. Still, I think you should try contacting SGCarMart and at the very least, ask them what they have to say about that. If you have the proof, they should have no choice but to pass your review.

I always take those positive reviews with a massive dose of salt, especially for new users who have little or no posts on the forum and register just to write those reviews. From patronizing or making enquiries with some of these shops which have outstanding ratings, I often find the experience a far cry from those reviews raving about them.

this is so true, have posted an negative review on a "recommended merchant".

the review was removed by the admin following by an e-mail claiming the "recommended merchant" will solve the issue for me.

guess they just depend all these "recommended merchant" for business.

I also posted 1 not so good review of a recommended workshop.

They say the review will be sent to the merchant for vetting?!?!

Which merchant will not censor the bad stuff?

Luckily the review went thru. If not next time I won't bother to write any more reviews.
