Theoldjaffa Hypersonic February 3, 2017 Share February 3, 2017 Any comments on putting 19" on our 1.4L? Like comfort level or loss of power? Many thanks in advance. 19" will look nice. but you need to "complete the look" by lowering it to about max 2 fingers height. big rims on tall suspensions will look funny. if you are the kind of driver who moves off from traffic lights gently, FC will not be affected much. the tyre size is 245/35/R19. Due to lower profile, you will feel road bumps more. your suspension may wear out faster due to the increased rotational weight. i recommend going max to 18" (Plus 2 Sizing from ur stock 16"). Go with good rims that is less than 9kg. it should be priced about 450 to 600 per piece. ↡ Advertisement

Theoldjaffa Hypersonic February 3, 2017 Share February 3, 2017 Which Rims and tyres do you recommend? (less than 9 kgs) Do these have the Audi logo on the Rims? Thanks! Usually people use Audi logo on chiong rims. Good rims come with their own caps except for a few JDM wheels. OZ is value for money but some say it's not strong. 18" about $450 to $480ea. Or can go for BBS at around same price but they are heavy. Or ATS Racelight, $
Arch1984 4th Gear February 3, 2017 Share February 3, 2017 Yeah most ppl go for replica rims to save cost. But you wun be sure about the quality and safety. Mainly for cosmetic purposes. Dun see many a4 fitted with non audi rims.

Audi2017 Neutral Newbie February 3, 2017 Share February 3, 2017 Quote for the original Audi rims and tyres are about 5-6K SGD total. Probably not worth it!

Audi2016 5th Gear February 4, 2017 Share February 4, 2017 Good advise bro. Still pondering between 18" or 19". I am on 18" replicas since day 1. Just for cosmetics so no need get original Audi ones. So far almost 1 year @ 25K mileage, nothing bad happen.. even though certain neighbourhood roads have very bad pot holes but the rims managed to survive lol. I might change my rims again when I change my tires.. because the paintwork wasn't done v well, have minor hairline cracks here & there, probably due to heat? I spray painted the rims because I wanted silver but originally it came in gun metal. I think 18" is a good balance between aesthetics, FC and comfort. 16" rims really make the car look very funny. But some people don't care about car's appearance so I guess it's not impt for them.
Arch1984 4th Gear February 4, 2017 Share February 4, 2017 Yeah 18inch looks more natural on A4. 19 inch will give you the more aggressive look. Upsizing rims (as bigger rims are heavier) will always affect comfort, FC and braking but you get better control. Difference is marginal per inch you go up. My 18" it's lighter than my stock 17". That's why for rims, get reputable ones as they are light due to the technology of manufacturing process and they offer a good balance of weight vs strength.. Replica rims sacrifice on strength by using less metal to reduce weight.

Theoldjaffa Hypersonic February 4, 2017 Share February 4, 2017 Mind sharing what u got or any pics for us to drool? I'm not driving A4, just kaypoh-ing here This is a comparison pic of an 18" OZ Leggera HLT on my car and the 19" BBS CI-R on my friend's 2er Both are flow formed wheels, so although cast but it's lighter compared to conventional cast wheels without sacrificing on strength (supposedly). 18" and 19" visually doesn't differ much for similar designs, unless you go for the long spokes kind.
