Midorima 4th Gear April 11, 2019 Share April 11, 2019 Thanks all for your responses. Ok, I will stick to v power/98 fuel for the time being. Anyway, with shell escape card + UOB one card, I get ~20% fuel discount which is really great!! The stock 16â wheels really do not do justice to the car. It looks like someone wearing an expensive tuxedo/suit with a cheap pair of shoes. Iâm going to change it to 18â next weekend! ð I see they are a lot of replica Taiwanese Audi rims out there and they are priced just around $900 ish. Anyone here is using them? Can trust or not not? Your car is on the higher price side, so just go for original rims. U can go to Ray-S for Breyton, South East Tyre for BBS etc. They have many for Audi. Got a lot of other brands. They r located nearby Rims are the contact point so to be safe, better not get sub standard ones. ↡ Advertisement

Better not ba. Audi leh, don't use replica rims. The BBS SR cost like $450 per rim? Or OZ Leggera.. light and good. $480? After trade I think 2k plus nia with good tyres.
Cookcpu 1st Gear April 11, 2019 Share April 11, 2019 Compare the stock 16" rim and a BBS 19" rim. The former ride is smoother and more quiet.

Agreed, 16 inch looked too small for A4. If A3 still slightly acceptable.

Bossm4n Neutral Newbie April 30, 2019 Share April 30, 2019 Hi, is it wise to purchase an Audi A4 with a new 5 year COE? Car registration is 2009. Will there be major repairs needed? Do advice. Thanks

Thanks Most people will sell their Audi after 3 yrs or after warranty period.. For COEed Audi , think u standby min 10k for repairs n top up accordingly.. u can thank me later

Thanks In general u taking a higher depreciation for a 5 years COE compare to 10 years. If not renew yet do consider 10 years instead as when the car reach 13 or 14 years old it may not make economical sense to do any major repair as COE cannot be extended further. This will result in even higher depreciation.

dappercivility 4th Gear April 30, 2019 Share April 30, 2019 Wonder wots Audi strategy. A4 pricing like see saw. If u wan maintain certain level of prestige, u need to draw the line somewhere. They have been like this since I first looked at the A4 in 2007. 160+ k can discount to 110k. Bad for owners if you purchased at the retail price instead of the discounted price. Buying cars is based on your feel, if you like it, comfortable with the price, nego hard for your targeted price, bite the bullet and enjoy your ride. thinking too much would cloud your judgement and you might end up with something you do not like instead. therock Supersonic April 30, 2019 Share April 30, 2019 Even a 10 year old Toyota will need fixing. But Audi parts cost more so do put money aside to get that car up to shape. Or buy a brand new car and get trouble free motoring sans the “prestige”.
Fu11thr0tt1e Turbocharged April 30, 2019 Share April 30, 2019 my friend did consider these 2. on paper, doesn't seem like any difference in space. If im not wrong, both are using same platform. Of cos, passat has that GTI engine. If branding doesn't bother u, ya passat looks like the better deal Passat 1.8L. GTI 2L. How can it be the same? ↡ Advertisement
