Kklim Supercharged October 23, 2015 Share October 23, 2015 (edited) Some idiot went and injured one of the otters http://www.channelnewsasia.com/news/singapore/acres-looking-for-man-who/2211084.html?cid=FBSG The otters compete with them for fish. No fishing allowed there anyway. I've seen anglers at the pond in Bishan Park throw sticks at otters there to drive them away. Reported it to NParks rangers. Loki Supersonic October 23, 2015 Share October 23, 2015 The otters compete with them for fish. No fishing allowed there anyway. I've seen anglers at the pond in Bishan Park throw sticks at otters there to drive them again. Reported it to NParks rangers. Shit, this is why Singaporeans do not deserve to have nice things/environments. Dunno how to take care and appreciate. It is so rare to see wildlife thriving in a city. Those anglers ought to have stuff thrown at them instead.

If the government were to send their scholars to do a study on local otters and its fertility rates, would the findings return that living a carefree, stress free life where the ecosystem is in place, without external intervention, allows for higher chances of fertility?

mersaylee Hypersonic February 12, 2016 Share February 12, 2016 If you sit long enuf by the kallang basin next to the sport hub, you'll spot a few in the water. They can swim very fast...or just float on the surface unperturbed by the onlookers. At the rate they can populate, it won't be long before they pose a threat to the stray cats that help keep the mice number in check.
Nolicense Turbocharged February 12, 2016 Share February 12, 2016 otters piak piak also is zheng hu taichi? Don't you know? that is true. They may become a nuisance. presently the wild boar problem have not heard much news. we shall see. if there is "no problem", the nature society will say "see, city life and garden, wild life can co-exist, just like the monkey problem in Bkt Timah."
