Friendstar Supercharged February 4, 2019 Share February 4, 2019 Had my Outlander for almost 3yrs and had some other problems like weather seals on the doors and car body began to drop off, passenger overhead handle started to come off, just to name a couple. All in all, the car is ok for it price, but its these little issues that frustrates me. What I like 1. Handsome good looks 2. Sufficient space to take 7pax (incl. 2 kids) 3. Good fuel efficiency 4. Comfortable ride with good suspension 5. Sufficiently powered engine, if it is paired with a better transmission 6. Reasonably priced What I do not like 1. Terrible CVT that is unable to transmit sufficient power to its wheels 2. Overall make reliability, where car parts start to drop off after driving for 2yrs 3. Mediocre handling with lots of body roll when addressing bends and corners 4. Interior furnishing and features can be improved Finally decided to change car. So drastic? I agree that Outlander looks macho and good I think mediocre handling ok la. It's a cheap and heavy SUV after all. What's the fuel consumption like ↡ Advertisement

dyong28 Clutched February 4, 2019 Share February 4, 2019 @Friendstar, @DACH, @Contipro, To answer ur qns: 1. Mileage average about 10km/L 2. Parts fall off include: -- weather seals on the driver and passenger doors and door frames -- passenger overhead handle 3. Had already trade in my car and didn't take pic. Sorry. To be fair, the car is not entirely bad. Besides the few points above along with a underperforming CVT, the Outlander does have its positive points like, handsome good looks, good fuel efficiency, comfortable ride with good suspension for leisure driving, sufficient space to take 7pax at any time of the day, etc. Maybe is the way I drive that make it less durable. Lol. Nonetheless, I like it more than hate it during the pass 3 yrs driving it. So that should count for something...

Friendstar Supercharged February 6, 2019 Share February 6, 2019 Hehe... I change to the bigger SUV... Toyota Fortuner...Nice! I like fortuner. Very rugged . Will prefer it to be 2 litre turbo like the harrier and slightly cheaper. At fortuner price range it's nearing the premium suv liao The FC is like 6kmlitre right? At fortuner price range it's nearing the premium suv liao The FC is like 6kmlitre right? The 2016 version is much better than the previous version. Both exterior and interior are much nicer with a premium feel. As for FC, it is about 6-8km/L in city drive and 7-9km/L in expressways. Anyway, we better save this Fortuner discussion in a different chat and not to divert the topic for this forum. Lol. ↡ Advertisement
