ya ..1.6T also can .. i sure go queue up ..

don't understand why Mitsubishi doesn't want to use TC any more, even if they used to make the most powerful Evo X 2.0T in decade ago ,

if Outlander equipped 2.0T even 1.6T, sure its selling figure will surge

How is the service quality at Cycle & Carriage?

Do they offer servicing package at competitive rates, or do you use outside workshops for servicing?

Think first 5 yrs svc is free. Another 10yrs warranty for engine. dunno the fine prints though.

Mitsubishi cars should be easily serviced outside.

I have tried the test drive outlander today. it seem to be very noisy cabin and poor interior quality. to make it sound stupid with the 10 year warranty. come on even my 9 year old toyota engine still can last another renew of coe , probably twice! LOL. seriously, engine will not breakdown one . any brand engine can give a 10 year warranty on the block itself.

i test drove last sunday.

big cabin and acceptable quality

last row smaller than sorento but seems easier to get in and out

come with spare tyre, sorento does not

pickup pretty decent

u turn can do in 2 lanes

engine slightly noisy when pushed

light steering ala latio but stiffens at 50kmph or higher

takes bumps better than my e90

2wd, 15%rwd and full 4wd options

in summary, i likey cos nice styling and can squeeze 7 if need to

price no good though cos with in house ins and loan rebates, otr is 141,999

overtrade 8,000 for existing ride.... not meaningful cos dealer quote very low price so the over trade is just to bring it to market price if you sell outside

wait for coe to drop to 30k and i will get this

At the last car show, I sat in all the SUVs there and the Outlander stood out as the one with the poorest interior - design & quality- resembling a China made car.

I was there on sat. SE told me about 19k. with some criteria for loans and tradeins, the price can come down to S$133k.

I think it is a great bargain for a suv with 4x4 functionality. but I still find the so-called extra 2 seats too small to be of use....and the engine is still noisy.

Any idea what's the OMV??

19k for a 2.4L car seem low...No wonder the price is lower than the Korean SUVs Sorento & Santa Fe

Thats better than what the Ubi SE told me, 16.5k only

I am surprise that their CVT gearbox should be smoother than my 8 year old toyota4 speed auto. insanely rediculous joke

I dont know why you keep going around comparing this Outlander, but then also keep going to everywhere to compare the prices too.

Then start to say this not good and bad, and search, post anything abt this.

You should look at other cars, and this this car a rest.

I always wonder how do you know a CVT is not smooth?

Does it jerk like the dual clutch of Citroen? That is really not smooth.

Agree...The drive was quite smooth when I tried it the other day. In fact better than Xtrail. Xtrail feels underpowered.

Got a fren who bought this purely for its 7 seater and price tag.

I would do so if the coe continues it's down trend also... Watching the price closely...

Test Drove the car last Saturday. My take is the CVT is still smooth. This is still a pretty decent car if you need the 7 seats for the weekend.

The only thing that I was disappointed was there was no 2nd and 3rd row aircon. The SE assured me that Mitsubishi aircon has no problem cooling the car. I replied I also know, question is how long does it take?

Most 2nd & 3rd row a/c for show only if they are from the same compressor.

Not many MPVs have independent fan / compressor. I think the one on Alphard is separate fan.
