Mkl22 Twincharged June 25, 2015 Share June 25, 2015 most good workshops can do this. . putting brake grease on the BACK of the pads and the spring clips is a common practice all around the world. i have DIY it myself numerous times. i use copper grease or NAPA sil glyde. maybe you can get the workshop to chamfer the edges of the pads to reduce the noise too.

Hamburger Hypersonic June 25, 2015 Share June 25, 2015 Its the compound used in pad. Just change to original pad and sound will go away. Unless its a faint sound or else copper grease not gonna work.

Kb27 Supersonic June 25, 2015 Share June 25, 2015 (edited) Likewise, any one still putting a bit of engine oil on spark plug threads ? Or battery grease ? Good practice to put engine oil or anti-seize on plug thread. Otherwise, it may get stuck or corroded and jammed there, then big hassle, taking it out. Ichibawa 5th Gear June 26, 2015 Share June 26, 2015 To solve brake squeal its either to change a less metallic brake pads, skim your brake disc if there are too many deep grooves or check if the mech who did the installation threw away the shims while at it. Kb27 Supersonic June 26, 2015 Share June 26, 2015 Nickel plated still need to put? Plating can come off. It's just good practice when 2 metal surfaces touches each other, under high heat and tension. I've also seen corroded plugs. ↡ Advertisement
