It's the same mentality with ppl on skate boards, scooters and bicycles who decide not to slow down and get off their transport to make the crossing by foot. They think drivers can react at the drop of a dime to stop for them.

For most pedestrians when they see green man flashing means it's time to pick up their legs and make a dash for it w/o looking out for vehicles making a turn or not.

When crossing the road ppl must be taught to "Stop, Look, Cross" in this sequence whether the lights are in their favour coz their life will be at stake. The driver in the car will always be safer dan a pedestrian. But ppl skip the steps of "stop" & even "look" and still got the audactity to say lim peh has the right of way. They never think if they got run over they are just roadkill.

Some green man start flashing from 25 second counting down, you mean they have to stand there and wait?

Precisely. Exercise logical judgement.

Yes. Number of seconds depends on the length of the crossing and the international standard of walking speed.

We are talking 2 different things. I said No "start" of crossing when green man.

Yes, I am talking about why can't pedestrians start when they have the right of way, green man flashing or otherwise with caution exercised though.

Well, rules are based on certain statistics and international standards. If we leave it individuals ability, then no point putting them in place.

if 50 km/hr speed limit is based on an average car, Can Ferrari go at 90 based on its ability?

Ok, follow the rules, noted. Show me which traffic rules say "No start" when green man flashes?

There is a difference between "own interpretation" vs "rules".

You have a closer look at any pedestrian cross press button (normally below them, there is a little board), rules are written very clear. I tried to find a photo of them online, could not find. Instead I am posting the link to LTA site.
