She had been living on the 3rd floor of the block. The student, identified as “Gao HY” on Chinese social media, was found lying on the ground, bleeding profusely from her head. Unsure if suicide was the cause, friends skepticalGao’s friends have expressed skepticism at suicide being the cause of death, as she was graduating on 29 July, possibly with first class honours. Several other facts about the incident were also inconsistent with suicide, such as Gao’s head injury and the fall length of 3 stories, indicating that she could have been pushed. If she’d jumped, she would have landed on her legs, they reasoned. Additionally, a case last year, coincidentally also in NTU, featured a man who fell three stories from a block but ended up in stable condition. Of course, his isolated example isn’t conclusive proof that death is impossible while falling from three stories. From what i know normally Police and MSM do not report about suicides... Personally knew of 2 suicides which was not reported in news. Maybe it is not reported so as to not "glorify" these suicide-rs ..
