Want Coupe look but not enough head space for the rear seat, but if create more head space for rear seat then the car will not look so nice like a Coupe. I suppose we cannot have best of everything lah.

I sat at backseat of GLC coupe. My head almost touch roof le. I m short like 1.7m

It is a "coupe" on stilts just like the X4. Just imagine a 4 door C-class coupe with raised suspension.

People buy the GLC coupe, X4 knowing full well what they are buying into. Obviously the rear head room or boot space are not their prioity.

If space and head rooms are priority, they can get the GLC SUV and X3 at a much better price.

Different strokes...

totally agree..but I have to admit they did a pretty damn good job in this one..its quite stunning when u see it in the metal, esp w the full AMG works. so I guess the tradeoff of a slightly lower headroom and 50L less cargo space seems very decent..park it side by side the regular GLC or X4, it makes those rides seem very ordinary

Sharing some info that I find new to me... Explains the difference in the rear leg room vs the standard C-class...

The GLC itself is a mishmash of Mercedes componentry, specifically the chassis and mechanical bits of the E-Class and the interior and electronics from the C-Class. We find this to be a particularly brilliant way to build a crossover. “One of the deciding factors for me was the decision to use the E-Class platform and C-Class features,” Alisa Priddle said in explaining her vote. “That’s the smart way to engineer a product.”

Added guest judge Mike Accavitti: “Overall, this is a great vehicle. You know you’re getting into a Mercedes as soon as you open the door to the GLC. The quality of the materials and the elegance of the design are very consistent with the Mercedes-Benz brand proposition and reputation.”

The platform itself is Mercedes’ clever Modular Rear Architecture platform, which will eventually underpin 10 models, including the C- and E-Class and an upcoming replacement for the defunct R-Class. The GLC’s 113.1-inch wheelbase nearly splits the difference between the 111.8-inch C-Class and the 115.7-inch E-Class. The length translates primarily into rear-seat space, including extra headroom when compared to a direct competitor such as the Cadillac XT5.

A bunch of Germans I know joke that the GLC is the cheapest E-Class you can buy. They ain’t joking.

As the GLC doesn’t have the fancier interior of the E-Class, a bunch of Germans I know like to joke that it is the cheapest E-Class you can buy. Thing is, they ain’t joking. The C-Class interior is the best in its class, and most folks couldn’t tell it apart from an E-Class anyway. “This thing is just nice,” Christian Seabaugh said. “I hop in and immediately feel relaxed. The seats are sofa soft yet still supportive. All the touch points feel like a million bucks.” Accavitti: “It’s very luxurious looking with lots of leather and wood. I love how the infotainment system warns you not to be distracted by it, but then it has all these awesome screens you can’t help be distracted by.” Angus MacKenzie summed up the interior well: “Looks rich and upscale, like a mini S-Class. It sets the benchmark for a small luxury SUV.”

you are damn right ...

those who travel to msia frequently (at least once a month) better think twice

Having sat in all of the new mercs recently, C class, regular GLC, GLC Coupe and E class I think this is the new way merc makes their rear seat. Shorter "thigh" length, thus creating a visually more spacious feel. but if one is used to a full size rear bench config, etc F10 or S60, sure will feel short changed.

The C&C GLC selling price list is just a guideline base on the current COE. When you place your deposit, it is stated clearly the only thibg confirmed is the selling price of the car without COE which is slightly less than 190k.

When your car goes into factory production (about 3-4mth before expected delivery) , then they will package your car with coe. Usually not car price + coe premium. There will be a 10-20 k off the premium. It is not a discount but more like they already factored that 10-20k into ur car price.

Since GLC is not ex-stock, do not expect big carrots or discounts.

Typo: thing.

Factory clearing order faster now because their new additional GLC production line (outside of Germany) is supposed to come online in 2017 to offload some strain on the german line.

One will have loads of time (between 6 mth to a year) to research and read up on the GLC after you place your order.

Anyway just checked with my SE, verified your info too.

The GLC Coupe from the design stand point feels very similar to the BMW 320i GT. A very radical look but definitely welcome.

the only good thing is ride higher for old folk [laugh]

other than that, nothing in GLC can beat F10 528i [thumbsup] in terms of handling, space, awesomeness, etc.

Adviseable to recommend my dad driving a 2012 bmw f10 528i to change to glc250?

I see some PI offering the glc250 amg.. very swee

I think my dad wants to go SUV...

Previously before his F10, he was driving 3 gens of the Honda CRV.. probably miss the height and space.. but the F10 is really very well built and still drives very well.

Are you guys talking about the GLA instead of the GLC ??? I am almost 1.8 m and one of my trader drives a GLC . Have taken rides in the GLC backseat for umpteen times and I dun find it cramped like what you guys are saying ..

The back rest can be pushed back to make it more slanted and I dun find it cramp at all ...

Maybe you guys are used to big cars like 7 series , S Class or Bentley ba if you find the GLC cramped . It is sure much better than those Mid level executive saloon or those crossover

GLA is cramp for me

GLC is ok

I am club 1.83
