haha just wondering.. after further reading, don't rili tink I will do it tho

If you want to mod your mazda 2, suggest the rear brake from drum to disc. This will give it better braking power for safety.

Next, find a thicker anti roll bar which decrease the tilting/sinking feeling when cornering. Finally, thicker 225/45 profile tires and suitable rims.

Won’t changing the front to a BBK be sufficient?

ARB is easy to get now for the DJ.

I wonder why it has taken Trans Eurokars so long to bring in the facelifted Mazda 2. It was launched in Thailand late last year and is already available in Malaysia:

I believe it is going to be bloody expensive with the price hike as seen in MY or AU, with their drive to go premium.

In MY, it used to start from 76k, now its 100k, an 25% hike.

In AU, it starts from min 20k, where caradvice.au literally just told Mz2 to fly kite and ask consumers to buy a Cerato or Elantra at 20k, with a more potent 2.0l engine.

So I think they are stalling for time to get all old stocks at lower price to offer a better value proposition since the new model has minimal changes.

Price is a key concern at this level of market.

In MY, I would much rather buy a base Ford Ranger Automatic for the same price than this hatch, if I need it at all.

I guess the reason is there is NO market for a Mazda 2 in Singapore. I owned the DJ model from 2015 to 2019, not many are seen on the road. You can guess the popularity of the model with the amount of traffic in MCF.

Hello all, new to this forum and am car shopping for after this whole CB thingy die down.

Anyway i've been eyeing between the Mz2 HB (Deluxe) and Honda Jazz RS, leaning more towards the Mz2 cos of the reviews on the drive and cheaper price even for the deluxe model. Just want to ask, how bad is the rear legroom (not compared to the Jazz, just rear legroom in general) and also how is the spare parts availability and pricing here in SG?

I am an ex-Mz2 deluxe owner. The drive is good and only bad thing is rear passenger leg room. Spare parts for the Mz2 is still easily available from the local stockist.

Rear legroom is poor, will only consider this as a 'couple's car' only.

Yeah I bought it cause I usually do not need to ferry people around. I have to push my seat all the way to the front to allow any adults to sit comfortably.

Its also not easy for folks to get out from the rear seats with the small angle that they have from the space.

I think in the same class, i will choose jazz. Interior and design preference

yea i'm considering between the 2, but the jazz RS is much more expensive than the Mz2, plus reading reviews seems like I'll like the drive on the Mz2 better..

Oh i'm talking about both spare parts availability and pricing. Wonder is it generally more expensive than other jap cars

Same, I'll not likely ferry a lot of people around a lot, so I guess if it's tolerable enough for short rides i'll be ok with it. And tbf, from that photo it really doesn't look too horribly small like I'm reading around hahaha

It is very small trust me. I rather you buy the Jazza RS if the rear legroom will be a concern for you. If not the Mazda 2 Skyactiv is really a good car. Fun to drive with the sports mode, dashboard and speedo looks great.

I see, cool sounds good. Space is not really a major concern, i foresee just myself and a passenger majority of the time, just a good-to-have i guess

Is Mazda 2 Skyactiv refer to sedan version? I sat in a PHV mazda 2 sedan, the rear also quite tight.
