Ppl should read up how mountains are formed. LoL...

I hope the rest of the children and teachers are ok. I have been there before. The mountain can get quite cold be it night or day. It's good to hear helicopters are sending food and warm clothing.

The helicopter can only reach the base camp not the peak where 100+ people still up there, I hope they can stick together and survive the night.

Twincharged

Read this morning from ST that Singaporean girl amongst those killed at Mt Kinabalu. Still the same ones missing.

Still in disbelief... Unimaginable...

Hope everyone will be alright & stay strong till they're reached...

Just wondering how come for primary school students, though already P6 being plan to go to Mt Kinabalu? I tot this mountain is pretty challenging for ordinary folks, not to said for 12 yrs old who i'm not sure have even hike for more than 5km before in their life.

Not only local school.

Some international schools on Singapore arrange these trips for their students too.

Some pri 5 already go.

Such trip are good for child development. No one should be at fault. Unfortunate natural disaster strike.

Hope those still missing will be found soon. Our hearts go to the parents, children and teachers.

Hypersonic

I never go for a mountain climbing before.

But just don't understand with modern technology, why can't every group of climber carry a GPS tracking device with them. In case they are lost or something happened. Rescuers can locate them easier.
