Showster Twincharged June 6, 2015 Share June 6, 2015 Cannot blame MOE. There are always risks to be taken if we want to learn anything meaningful. The young generations are already being called the strawberry generation. How much safer and risk free do we want them to be? Nobody could foresee the earthquake. Let's hope it turns out well for the rest. Prayers go out to them.

Raptor22 2nd Gear June 6, 2015 Share June 6, 2015 What a name to call this expedition, The OMEGA Challenge. Hopefully this is not the final challenge for these young children starting out in their lifes. Should have called it "The ALPHA Challenge". May she RIP. Sad for the parents. My thought goes out to all those facing a difficult time in this disaster.

Toothiewabbit Supersonic June 6, 2015 Share June 6, 2015 Read from HSK FB that parents, MOE officials and support personnel are being or flown out this morning. Our hearts go out to the parents. Hope the remaining 9 can be found soon.
Lala81 Hypersonic June 6, 2015 Share June 6, 2015 (edited) so the child that died is an acceptable loss? if it were your child that died, will you still say the same? prease lor... Chill lah, think he just saying that u can't forsee an earthquake. It's not like there's a safety lapse during the excursion. It's an understandable reaction for parents to not allow their children to go on excursions again for some time. The Korean ferry disaster also probably has the same reaction. Cavver 4th Gear June 6, 2015 Share June 6, 2015 They should be at home studying for their PSLE exams, why MOE/school organize at this time for P6 students? You just become part of a "Strawberry" gen , the maker and the blamer .

My thought goes out to all those facing a difficult time in this disaster. There's the problem of Singaporean, getting name without knowing the true meaning behind. For those uninitiated, Omega is the last letter of Greek (like 'Z' in English) while 'Alpha' is the 1st .
Cheesey74 6th Gear June 6, 2015 Share June 6, 2015 Natural calamities can strike anytime/anyplace, nothing we can do to prevent such suayness... From the numerous replies here, i can see why we have so many young strawberries in Spore, given that their parents are with such mindset too.
