nazerath Turbocharged May 27, 2015 Share May 27, 2015 (edited) where to go for transmission auto check? When I try to accelerate (Almost flooring) from a filter lane to an expressway, it seems to be lagging, like it would rev high then after a second or so get what I want it to do and then start to accelerate. Is this called gear slip?I do not remember my previous auto being like that it at least not so obvious. Could it be that I am used to the response time of a manual or is the cars transmission giving way? Leroyluo85 1st Gear May 27, 2015 Share May 27, 2015 Is ur accelator by wire or by electrical? Electrical will have a slight lag before the car actually respond.

Slow to fill the drum that would explain the lag in response. There's a transmission workshop above the Ubi tan chong motors showroom. I forgot the name. They have diagnosis equipment to check what's wrong with your transmission. Ok, found the company....http://www.sgcarmart.com/directory/merchant.php?MID=14605 Edited May 27, 2015 by Watwheels

What price range I should be looking at supposing it is that? The symptoms I describe, what other causes?

What price range I should be looking at supposing it is that? The symptoms I describe, what other causes? For price I dunno. Other causes might be torque converter leaking but that's very rare. Can't be your accelerator or throttle body coz you said the engine manage to rev high rpm thru your right foot input. There's no jerking... So left only the torque converter. Furrynadz 5th Gear May 27, 2015 Share May 27, 2015 need more info what car/age/mileage/servicing info..etc usually 1 atf change is not sufficient, u need 2-3 atf changes to get it really clean, best to do yearly change does the power feel lacking? might be power loss in engine and gb detect not sufficient torque and have to drag more to compensate best to go to a competent mechanic or back to agent / specialist to diagnose going to a transmission specialist u dont get the whole pciture

Paulscarbs Neutral Newbie April 27, 2019 Share April 27, 2019 Hoping somebody can guide me with my auto transmission. I have an Estima ACR50 with a CVT transmission. It has had an oil change about 6 weeks ago and drove well for four weeks. It has not started making a noise, the engine revs erratically when in Drive and has caused a sudden stopping 'jolt' (all on different occasions). What might be the cause of the issues? Transmission has done 200,000km. ↡ Advertisement
