Why is Toyota Altis cheaper than Vios?

Anyone can help shed some light on this?

 

As of 26 May, Altis starts at $121,888 while Vios starts at $126,888.

 

Historically, isn't Vios cheaper than Altis?

Think all along vios and altis pricing not much great difference, thats why most people would go for altis than vios. But regardless how much the pricing for altis, this model still will become no. 1 best seller.

Altis is assembled in Thailand while Vios is assembled in Indonesia. Some how must be the costs in Indonesia is more expensive and so BM prices higher than Altis.

BM stopped one shipment and then suddenly bring in again. At the April 9th price list there is no Vios and Sgcarmart said "Vios is being discontinued".

because they will not want to make the same mistake again like that did during cny period.. what's the point of taking more order but couldn't deliver in the end? reputation damage cost much more than selling few hundred more cars...

checked around and found that Borneo Motor is one of the very few AD that increase price after the COE fall this time round.... Being the best selling car brand in SG, does it means that BM believe that COE is gg to increase in the next 6 bid?
