i think bentake is improving recently.. why we insist to sell him at a huge loss. imo, sell him to any team who know how to play to his strength, he will score 20 goals / season easily. after we sell him, we start complain no plan b and we go spend another 40m on a plan b striker. happen so many times already

I agree with u.. I keep Ben. not becus he costs us 32mil, not becus he's playing poorly.. but i believe he's an upgrade compared to the last 2-3 TARGET man we had..

Minus crouch who i admit was quite good, but he lacks pace and footwork.. Carroll.. dun say much.. cracker of a left foot, good ability in the air.. but lack the physical demands and often tumbles on his own.. Ballo.. i dunno how to classify him.. haha

What benteke has shown over the last 8-10months is dat he's got the footwork, has the pace, can score with his feet, head, against the goal, spectecular goals.. pace for a big guy.. He's only 25? he still has a long future ahead.. He just needs to get the fact over the price tag get his head down to work harder.. He will come good eventually..

Crouch didn't score till almost 20 games started.. we still stuck to him and loved him.. Ben just needs a wake up call.. He's come from a team that is built ard him.. to a team that must play as a whole.. it's a whole diff game play and some players adapt quickly.. some players take alot longer..Give him 1 more season.. plus the fact Ings is coming back.. we do have 4 different and prolific scorers.. something alot of teams dont..

DS: flair and clinical

Origi: Young and hardworking

Ings: Good runner off the ball and clinical..

Benteke: Effective target man

On paper this 4 gives coaches a selection nightmare and i really wanna see all 4 click into top form..

Liverpool's upcoming pre season schedule. Notice any particular team that is not a traditional big club?  :D I suspect they are included so that the other teams in Europe can "check" them out first before the actual champions league starts.

Based on current table standings..

The 2 italian clubs, plus liv , chelsea and celtic (needs to  win qualification first) are not gonna play champs league next season.. but still got 10games to go.. anything can happened..

i will keep Benteke unless we need to sell to upgrade and I mean really upgrade...

from what i see we have enough strikers....

the problem will be CM.... if your CMs are good..... they can help to defend and chip in with goals...

Out of the 4 strikers, i will sell either ben or sturridge. Ben only if pool can get a gd price n klopp deemed he is not gd enuf even aft the off season training. Sturridge...jus bcos he is sturridge. We will nvr know when he will go on his streak of injuries. N it seems that he now plays a bit more cautious, not going all out. Mayb scared to get injured agn. Either reason, no pt waiting on him.

I beg to defer on couch footwork. When he was with Liverpool, u can say he actually have the best footwork. Look at how he can control the ball in a small confine area. But it's a wonder a player his height, he can't really head with power. I remember him and bellany are opposite. Couch has power when shooting with legs but no power with header. While bellany is the opposite.

Andy Carroll is a mystery. We hardly play Carroll and downing together to know the impact. All along I though downing was bought to provide crosses to Carroll.

I prefer not to sell anyone if possible. We never know if we will end up with a good striker or not. But at least if we don't sell we know what quality we still have in case the new buy don't work.

Big Ben is complaining now .... and he may have broken the bridge ...

http://www.teamtalk.com/news/benteke-i-dont-understand-my-lack-of-game-time-at-liverpool

Christian Benteke admits he finds it “hard to understand” why he has struggled for regular football at Liverpool under Jurgen Klopp.

The £32.5million striker, who was once again linked with a move to West Ham in Wednesday morning’s papers, says he finds it difficult to understand why the German manager has often overlooked him since arriving at Anfield in September.

Klopp has admitted that his old club, Borussia Dortmund, were interested in signing the forward during his time Aston Villa, but instead opted for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who has gone on to become African Football of the Year and is one of Europe’s most-wanted strikers.

Benteke reportedly told Belgian outlet Sport/Voetbalmagazine: “Some team-mates have said that I was lucky with the arrival of Klopp, because I certainly would play.

“When your coach says he wanted to take you to Dortmund and a little later you sit at the same club and he ignores you, it is hard to understand.”

Klopp has regularly stated the striker remains part of his plans at Anfield, despite a reported touchline row with his manager in Sunday’s defeat at Southampton, while the player himself has said he’ll “be a warrior” and fight to save his career at Liverpool.

“In January I didn’t want to leave and it’s still my desire to succeed at Liverpool. We’ll see at the end of the season,” he said.

Yea true, crouch has fantastic ball trapping skills.. but i think ben has better close control dribbling skills, among the 3 he's considered the most agile.. But if to say among the 3, crouch has the better heading ability.. winning a better percentage of headers.. Ben has the worst..

its abt the neck strength also.. crouch has a giraffe neck like me.. haha Bellamy's neck.. covered with overdose of muscles and violence.. haha

Not just his ball trapping skills. His ability to shoot in confine area and yet with such force.

If it come to dribbling. Couch definetly loss. Nothing can compensate for the over height issue for dribbling. Couch problem is he win header but the impact so soft that it's not causing enough damage.

If he looks back at the games I think he will be able to find the answer.

I thought big ben was better in terms of that shooting esp during his AV days.. i love crouch.. , carroll has a hell of a left foot.. but must give him like tons of space.. haha

Some players just live in denial.. Ben shld just really work harder.. he's a talent i think could do much better..

Normally I don't consider the ability of a striker not playing for team challenging for title. Reason been the defender they face won't be guarding as hard. Robbie kean is a good example. Cant score when in TOP team like inter and then Liverpool then Spurs again.

Ben maybe we need to give him more time like how we give couch time.
