ESPN : Jurgen Klopp to give Liverpool's existing squad a chance to impress

Jurgen Klopp will give Liverpool's existing squad time to prove themselves once he is appointed the club's new manager.

Klopp, who is set to sign a three-year contract to take charge at Anfield on Thursday, is not planning a significant overhaul of playing staff, sources have told ESPN FC.

The 48-year-old is understood to be satisfied that he can improve the team's performance without the need to spend fortunes in the transfer market in January.

Liverpool, who are expected to present Klopp at a press...

Liverpool, who are expected to present Klopp at a news conference on Friday, lie 10th in the Premier League after winning only three of their opening eight matches.

Brendan Rodgers was sacked on Sunday after three years and four months as manager, with American owners Fenway Sports Group feeling that he was not getting good enough performances out of his players.

FSG are hopeful that Klopp, who has been out of work since leaving Borussia Dortmund in May to take a sabbatical, will prove a catalyst for better results.

I think Pool must beef up the players' fitness.

If your skill is not good, you run and run and run until the opponents tried to death.

And we hit them with goals during the last 10 minutes after they had been tired out with all those running for 80 minutes ....

Then we should hire the coach for South Korea for the world cup for 2002 when SK reached semi-final. I remember that year during the extra time period they played, the opponents all limping liao, and the koreans were still galloping everywhere… spain, italy all fell victim to SK, and Germany were lucky to equalize just before full time and then went to score winner to go to final… else, who knows what would happen if SK reached final...

Everyone have an equal chance to impress... And they should know that it's their one and only chance to start life anew on the pitch ....

Btw, can we recall those on loan out? Balotelli would love to impress :)

Turbocharged

balo i think wont fit in klopp's tactics. as posted earlier, his style of high pressing wif a single forward will not work wif balo. though i don tink sturridge does a lot of pressing either. ings will suit fine...as he has been very hardworking.

I think it would be better to focus on the current squad first.... Let them perform and see how it go.

After which, observe those loan out performance and see if we really need to recall them back.

Else, those come back yet cannot perform according to manager's style of playing........

IMHO.
