Totally agreed. But then again, without a top manager, it would be difficult to persuade potential players to join as well and help the cause. At least with JK / CA / JM, there's a certain calibre and trust that players will be pulled to. If you appoint Chris Houghton / Tim Sherwood, what are the calibre of players we will be contemplating to join us? Probably the lower rung of potential

No one will join Pool if Fandi Ahmad appointed as Pool manager ....... :wut:

A lot of current players also ask for transfer .....:grin:

I have to say, Jamie Carragher gave a very honest opinion of Liverpool FC.

Liverpool have won one Carling Cup in 10 years. Liverpool are becoming Tottenham. They think they are a big club but the real big clubs are not too worried about them." - Jamie Carragher -

absolute spot on

Just checked the table, and coincidentally, Liverpool and Swansea is next to each other after 8 games.

So after 3.5 years and nearly 300m spent, BR left Pool with Swansea next to Pool.

Even the soccer gods want everyone to see that BR indeed manage Pool like as if he is still managing Swansea!

Found at Fox news....

Fox : Liverpool to hold talks with first-choice Jurgen Klopp despite Carlo Ancelotti contact

Liverpool are set to hold talks with preferred managerial candidate Jurgen Klopp before the end of the week, while they have also made contact with Carlo Ancelotti's representatives, according to Sky sources.

The Reds are keen to appoint a successor to Brendan Rodgers, who was sacked on Sunday evening, as quickly as possible and want him installed before the next Premier League fixture at Tottenham after the international break.

Klopp, 47, is currently out of work and enjoying a sabbatical following his decision to leave Borussia Dortmund at the end of last season, but he has previously divulged a desire to manage in England and put no timescale on his time away from the game.

Ancelotti is also out of work after being sacked by Real Madrid in May, despite winning the Champions League a year earlier, and is believed to be keen to return to work.

Wah...bro....don't be so chin chai leh...later appoint Roberto Martinez / Tim Sherwood etc....

Actually, if JM gets sacked by Chelsea, and get appointed by Livierpool, it would be interesting to see if he is really the Special One. Other than Porto, all the other teams he undertook were already Championship material...It would be a real test to see if his managerial persuasive skills can propel us to UCL this season and title winners next season

Look at how much Sterling is flourishing with Man City...he is being played in the right position.

Can as RCB and Ibe as wingback is a joke...

If I am RS, I would ask for a transfer too ... he was told to play in too many positions .... left/right wing, behind the striker, striker, right wing back ... WTF, where do you want me to play ?????

At Citeh, he play on the left wing ..... period.

IMO, BR has been playing players out of position. It would be a disaster to ask Messi to play at Left Back or Ronaldo to play at Right Back. Even the best player will look bad.

Or AVB!!

Well........

If FSG just want a manager and do not want to spent too much on manager, then AVB, Tim Sherwood, Harry Rednapp, 'Big' Sam, Gary Monk, David Moyes, Avocaat, .... etc. are available for his pick. :slow:

If FSG really want Liverpool fighting for top spot in BPL and Champion League, then only 2 choices left. Either JK or CA ... :yuush:

Klopp has proven & likes to works with youngsters & home grown talents. He don't buy those star players for success and as such, at least give him 3 years.

If he agrees to take care of Pool and top 4 finish this season, already a success. :a-m1212:

No Bao jiak I guess.... But bottom line now is to get the supporters screaming and believing again as a start. It seems that with BR, all the previous passion and dream of the fans are withering away.... Slowly but the signs are there. That's bad for fsg even if they dun give a damn about football.

Klopp seems to get the fans excited again and has certain form of affinity with the pool fans. This is something which I think makes him the best fit right now.

Got to add that Ancelotti, dispute his reputation and track records, does not resonate as much. A good choice if he is appointed but not the same kind of impact. More like a rational choice but does not strike all the chords.

Above is my own opinion. Not too sure abt others take.
