S60 vs Ford Mondeo 2015

I would feel the same pain previously.  But after owning a few cars with powered seats this is what I think now: unless the powered seats also come with memory presets (and better if auto memory recall with different key fob), non-powered seats are better since it's a lot quicker to adjust.  There are many functionalities that I need for a modern car but non-powered seats are not deal breaker if I rationalize further.

The electical seat configuration on the 2.0Ls they brought in includes three memory settings, which also remember side mirror positions, dipped reversing positions on said side mirrors as well as steering wheel positions (since electrical steering adjustment is included).

They also have an "Easy Entry/Exit" option. When this is enabled, the seat will move back several centimeters and the steering wheel will rise to the maximum upward rake when the engine is stopped while in P. This is to make it a bit ingress and egress easier, but whether it's helpful or not is to individual taste.

but it is true that it is a shame the 1.5L removed the electrical seats which would have added some perceptible sense of value and luxury to the car.

Electric seat with memory should equipped in this range of car. I share car with my family, every time switched driver, had to adjust the seat to the desire position. Sometimes, can't even sit in the car to adjust seat...(can't blame much, otherwise someone might angry with me ;) )

Own a Continental car before, the viper on the driver seat was shorter then passenger seat. The car designed was suited for the left hand drive. I had the same feeling Mondeo design also main for left hand drive. Same button and compartment location just not right.

If I were to hazard a guess, you seem to be right, but all the important stuff are appropriate for RHD - no angled steering wheel, for example. But bonnet release is on the left.

As for lack of electric seats, they have probably cut the spec down to target lower price range... now it's cheaper than a Toyota Camry even, I think.

Cool, just like my previous car, GS.  I like.

Sounds like the steering column adjustment is also powered in this case.

Unfortunately, as @teomingern confirmed, 1.5L units don't have electric steering adjustment. But the 2.0L batch with tri-memory seats do have electrical steering. For me though, since I have my wheel raked to the maximum upward level, the Easy Entry/Exit function only moves my seat. Haha.

I was expecting it to also retract the wheel reach, which it doesn't.

That said, electric steering adjustment is something that definitely seems quite premium.

As I was saying previously, it's a pity RM no longer bring in 2.0T.  However I do believe they will reverse their decision over the forthcoming months when COE quota increases and price drops or more people are indicating here they are not buying the 1.5T.

RM folks are reading this thread.  Please get your decision maker to read for himself/herself.

I was told that the 2.0 EcoBoost will be brought in... just that it will be in Mar/Apr...

hopefully the spec is at least as good. It will also be wise for them to have ordered dark colored leather.

Dear what you say on 2017 Volvo V90? Does anyone know details abou it?

V90 will be a different sort of beast altogether. Definitely more luxurious than Mondeo, but Mondeo might still be the more sporty and engaging drive.

V90 will have the latest Volvo engine and their new interior architecture. But it will also definitely cost more than 35% more than Mondeo based on my expectations.

V90 or S90? Totally agree about pricing... Volvo has always been at the upper end of the price scale in its class...

Different sort of beast in more ways than one... different class - luxury wagon, different targets - upper class luxury.
