Was wondering whether better to patch crack at glassfix or get whole windscreen replaced by MI.

Got hit by stone along cte. Star shaped 1cm crack.

I will just fixed at glassfix. After the repair you can't really see it.

Changing the whole screen still need to spend money on the solar film.

Please give review after ur Cusco installation hehe... 750 is not that steep. Electronically controlled?

Hi Rainman,

Yes .. not that more that stock damping.

For in cabin remote with presets, it is another 450-480 and I will get it since I am not to diy adjust under hood and my ice also means rear is not easily accessible but I need to figure out matching red theme version.

I think I will wait awhile to order the Cusco Touring A to enjoy the pink springs first, take it slow so that I don't kenna mod fatigue.

The ride with pink springs is more stable but like what bro Richard says, it's not conti standard yet.

The next poison I am contemplating is the Invidia Exhaust  [sweatdrop]

new Forester will come with EyeSight.

and if they bring in all the electronic goodies on JDM, will be super compelling over Tuscon (1.6T version had dual clutch transmission issues, not sure if they have resolved in this revision)

Hi Sarion,

But unfortunately, Subaru's eyesight system means MI will not install solar film on front windscreen unlike all other such system by other ADs/car mfgrs and leave it to potential buyers to take risk with insurers else MI would simply install it but hope MI resolve this soon though I cannot/did not wait and booked the mazda 6 exec instead of the impreza eyesight 2.0.

Hyundai historically has all the bells and whistles of such eyesight equivalent, BSM etc. actually long before most of the Jap mfgrs and 1.6T should give nice pick up albeit do not like how Hyundai steering feels ... a bit numb and just feel inferior to Jap cars still.

Tough tough ... but just like yesterday's nice hot afternoon, anyone really can buy Subaru cars with eyesight with no solar film on front windscreen or willing to take up risk to do it themselves when MI with all the legal expertise does not ??   [smash]  [confused]

Cheers,

Richard

Hi for bros with FNA n took the sports package, are the front and back bumpers “lower” than the stock bumpers?

Hi Whitetiger,

Front a bit since exactly like FXT but rear is same with just a paste over plastic molding.

Front a bit also means the front under-carriage chrome metal protector is a bit more covered and less obvious but best is with STI front lips that now can be attached to cover even more.

Nevertheless, there is  absolutely no concern on hitting any curb in Singapore as it is still very high with all these added molding, lips etc. even if you lower 15mm when pink springs are installed.

Cheers,

Richard

Tks Richard! Like the front FXT look but dont want to give up on the high clearance of foresters too. This makes the decision to spend on cosmetic upgrade easier haha

Hi Long bro, just to understand more from you that by installing the pink spring will not void our warranty with MI right?

Hi Long bro, just to understand more from you that by installing the pink spring will not void our warranty with MI right?

Hi everbb,

Sure void warranty for dampers and perhaps bearings as well as other "associated" parts since MI can say not fitted by them as authorised workshop even for such Subaru's pink springs but will not void warranty for headunit or headlights or gearbox or engine.

If you are concerned, then do it with MI albeit say 2 hundreds plus  more ...  dunno actual cost but MI certainly have them.

Cheers,

Richard

agree, so cheap...

Hi Sarion,

Yes ... believe stock dampers also not much cheaper.

However, I am quite happy with current set up with stock dampers and pink spring especially after the body dampers ... still undecided to go for cusco A touring now with concern that it may becomes worse in that they are harder albeit the idea of adjustable is nice especially with in cabin remote and presets.

The elusive conti suspension set up is still not achieved but may never be able to achieved since it is not only just dampers and springs but the whole works while we can only trial and error in costly way.

Perhaps I will wait till 60k or another year to maximise stock dampers' useful live since already 30k after 11 months.

Cheers,

Richard

Thanks, that's a good reference point. Hoping FC will improve a shade once running in period is over

Bro, the FC is depend on how you drive, e.g. highway time vs city time on road, heavy or light footer, traffic jam or smooth traffic, etc.... the FC given by bro Zpliu is the best FC can achieve but will not be daily FC...

My daily FC is ard 8-9 liter / 100 km, cos I am not light footer and city drive n traffic jam most of the time..... my best FC is 6 plus liter /100 km when driving on NSHW..... the longer and consistent speed on highway drive, you will able to hit the best FC on your Forester..

Hi whitetiger,

Subjective perhaps but unlikely anyone using forester on our type of city driving will ever missed the 15mm difference of lowered ride.

It improves ride to have less floaty and less jittery aka acheiving more stable ride and less roll especially on the rear with added improved road holding since lower centre of gravity with added assurance that it is designed by Subaru Japan with both version for FNA and FXT and not 3rd party coys for more discerning owners who feels that they need such improvement ... and it works to me.

Cheers,

Richard
