I'm on android, message works for me.. email, did not have experience of it coming through. unfortunately, fc reading is only in l/100km. Would love for it to be the other way round, but I have more or less gotten used to it. :)
Ayuready 1st Gear November 1, 2015 Share November 1, 2015 I'm on android, message works for me.. email, did not have experience of it coming through. unfortunately, fc reading is only in l/100km. Would love for it to be the other way round, but I have more or less gotten used to it. :) Thanks a lot bro. Took it for a short morning drive to buy breakfast from changi v. Love the car. For fc, do u all reset it after every tank? On the speedo instrumental panel. There is two stick, one for seeing trip meter a and b. One is display but like no reaction. Any purpose for that? Lastly, is the disc drive a dvd or only CD player? Can the screen play video from thumb drive while on the move or stationary? The rest I will slowly learn haha read thru the threads already but can't recall specifically to the above. Thanks to all bros in advance

Thanks to all bros in advance I have to agree here, it's an enjoyable drive and ride! 1. For me, I only reset trip A, trip B has been cumulative mileage and have not been reset. Personal preference. 2. If I'm not mistaken, the other "stick" is for cars with no mfd or lower "grade" mfd. It's suppose to change the pages in the panel display.. Our info is mostly in the mfd.. 3. Have not tried inserting and cds in yet.. Haha will have to try it out.. For the video files via thumb drive, yes, it works! But the HU is very selective on file types. So far mpeg4 seems to work fine. Mkv can't play.. Video will play when vehicle is stationary, once switch out of park, screen will turn blue, with sound from the video still on. Enjoy the ride!
7hm Turbocharged November 1, 2015 Share November 1, 2015 Yesterday first time park my forester under the hot sun from 9am ton12pm. The solar film installed by MI as part of the freebies doesn't seem to reduce heat at all. Not sure any bros has the same experience I think even the best level film is going to have some trouble keeping interior cool for three hours, bro.

Sopskysalat 4th Gear November 2, 2015 Share November 2, 2015 heat will radiate through car body into the cabin. heat will retain in the material untill it is released through cooling. have you ever noticed even if in underground carpark after you parked for hours, the car feels warm??? because the ambient is warm, heat will get into the car cabin - seat, padding..etc I think even the best level film is going to have some trouble keeping interior cool for three hours, bro.
Ladykillerz 4th Gear November 2, 2015 Share November 2, 2015 I got to know this Subaru Forester 2.0XT and find the price tag is really competitive! Such fast car for such price. Worth considering. But the most worrying part is the fuel consumption.
Sopskysalat 4th Gear November 2, 2015 Share November 2, 2015 True, it is worth the buy less the consumption part. But given that the consumption is comparable to yesteryear 2L car with less power, i think it is still worth it. Then, for those who do not want to be doing 7-10km/L depending on driving pattern, I prefer not to go for this car. Many do go for it due to its drivable and performance benefits. I got to know this Subaru Forester 2.0XT and find the price tag is really competitive! Such fast car for such price. Worth considering. But the most worrying part is the fuel consumption. From what others say, tt's not a sipper, but it's not a drinker.. Depending on travelling pattern, it is possible to get > 600km per tankful if travel mainly on Highway (say 80%), or averaging about 11 to 12km/l. The solar film installed by MI as part of the freebies doesn't seem to reduce heat at all. Not sure any bros has the same experience Solar film freebies from sales executives usually are the lower grade of heat reduction (usually around $300 budget). Usually better to exchange during the sales negotiations for cash discount instead, and then go, after collecting car, to the usual better brands (vKool, Rike, 3M etc...) and choose the higher quality (but of course, more expensive) grades. I usually go for those that can block > 80% of infra-red for the back seats. Can feel then that strong sun will not sting the skin when seated behind. (Front seat usually can't reach so high blockage as will cause the film to be too dark to meet LTA requirements). ↡ Advertisement
